I have quite a few issues with this comparison, not the least of which is that I have had personal experience with police officers abusing their positions of power in their favor. In fact, this whole thread has me questioning why I still come to Giant Bomb. I suppose it is out of habit. I think I'm done, though. I don't like being threatened, even indirectly.

Full disclosure: I have some 'mod history' for using a quote from Tropic Thunder which was deemed offensive for using the r-word. I believe that is my full history of 'conflict' with the mods here, though if there is anything else, that can be brought up. I certainly can't remember it.

The only reason to make an official PS5 would be to create a new minimum standard for new video games. As it is, all PS4 games have to be playable on both the PS4 and PS4 Pro. If they came out with a PS5 that played PS4 games, but also set a standard for new games coming out, then I can see it working.

Even then, I think the current gen has a lot of life left in it. Gen 7 lasted 8 years. Gen 8 is on year 5 with a mid-generation hardware upgrades on two systems, plus whatever the Switch is.

They're all okay games, but I happen to really like the source material, which allowed me to enjoy these games on a much higher level. Oddly enough, I ended up befriending some university basketball players through my band, and we would play the crap out of X-Men Legends on a hacked X-Box, despite owning legit copies. That was an interesting time in my life.

It's hard for me to recommend any of these games, as they each kind of have their flaws, but they somehow each were made in such a way that I enjoyed them on a nearly perfect level. I still do daily runs on Necrodancer and have come to accept that I'll probably never beat the game as Aria.

I played the crap out of Wrestlemania 2000, so by the time No Mercy came out I really didn't feel like it was that huge of an improvement. If you're coming at the games fresh, then I can see the argument for No Mercy, but purely by nostalgia and what it was like to play the games at the time, I'd have to go with Wrestlemania 2000.

I'd buy that game 3 times just to show my appreciation, if done right.

What was the 3D Street Fighter with Skullmania? We played the shit out of that game one summer in university.

Dark Souls 2 - What an overblown reaction. It was a 9/10 compared to the original's 9.5/10. It was also the most fun I've had with PVP in the series to date.

I respect chess players in the same way I respect speed runners or people who learn to do Rubik's cubes in under 30 seconds: I find it cool and impressive, but there is no way I am going to dedicate the time to memorizing every single possibility of this very specific set of rules.

Oddly enough, I did memorize how to solve a Rubik's cube at one point, and it did make a kind of sense when I started to see it for how it works, but I quickly saw that I was at the foot of a very tall mountain that I was fine hanging out at the foothills of. Chess I didn't even get that far.
