I'm planning on picking up the PC version as soon as I finish the first game (I just upgraded my computer), but if I hadn't upgraded, I'd be getting the 360 version. It still looks like a really fun game, definitely pick it up there if you're PC isn't up to snuff.

@big_jon: There's another one, with a release date? Also, I don't think that was the Halo 4 theme song. Just a Halo 4 song. Which was awesome btw, but I love this video's music too.

Yeah the only problem that I had with the controls was that I had some problems with cover and sprinting, mainly A button stuff because of how dense the maps are. I hope those are rectified in the full game. On topic, I found it very odd that the Vanguard was a Drell (though I haven't used him) and not a Krogen.

I just realized that its probably DLC.

Chrome or Firefox. Never ever ever ever use IE. Ever. I don't know how you've survived this long. Chrome is more user-friendly.

Pachter said this amount of money was to much, probably more then 100 million.

No way, it's far too low. Do the math. 800 people (I recognize that not all of these people worked the entire time on the project) for only 1 year, at only $30k a year is 2.4 million. This has been in development for what 3-5 years? My guess is 500 million.

@Grimluck343: Thanks for pointing out the Flash Game Dojo link.. very useful. And yeah, looks like Flixel (And I assume Flashpunk?) will work on Mac, assuming I'm using Flash Builder as my IDE. I think I'm going to take that approach.

I'm starting to hunt for tutorials online on ActionScript3/Flash development, but does anyone have a good totally beginner-friendly book that they can recommend? I've read good stuff about this book, but it's apparently not aimed at total coding beginners.

If you're going to go that route, Flashpunk.net has some really great tutorials (for using their libraries with Flash). When using the Flashpunk libraries, it's a really great introduction to programming since you don't have to get into the nitty-gritty of rendering and drawing. Flixel 2.0 is modeled on Flashpunk, it's a little more powerful, but requires more programming knowledge (from my experience).

@Raven_Sword: It's pretty solid in general. If you're hearing rattling there's probably something wrong.
