Whether or not women should be treated equally is not a political matter, it's just not. It's a human fucking matter. Men and women are the same and there should be no fucking difference in their quality of life or social experience that we can help. End of.

Thank you, and good lord do I hate it when things get political. It's always makes it a "They're ignorant, so therefor my argument is better" and it helps no one.

Or "I have a blanket policy of disapproving or disagreeing with people who think like you do, so I'm generally just going to fire contrarion hot air at you till I start to look a fool, at which point I'll pretend my argument has been about something else entirely and that you just weren't paying attention."

You know what is tiring about this subject? The reaction it gets. Not the topic itself. That's what makes me roll my eyes and not want to click through and read. I tire at just the thought of seeing the inane moronic comments of the vacuous medieval minds that are let's face it, a blight on our community. Because I should click through, and I should read. This needs to be discussed, because it's clearly an issue. And where better to discuss it or voice an opinion, than a transparent specialist website in the relevant field, like Giant Bomb.

I can't even fathom why people are bringing the political persuasion of the overall site into it. There are very few news or media outlets that don't lean to the left or right to some degree, but why does that matter? Whether or not women should be treated equally is not a political matter, it's just not. It's a human fucking matter. Men and women are the same and there should be no fucking difference in their quality of life or social experience that we can help. End of.

If you don't care... fine. Ignore it. Anyone who suggests that this twitter thing is being "thrown in your face" is a buffoon. You don't need to click on the hashtag, you can unfollow whoever you want. You don't need to click through/read this article. You don't need to comment. You don't need to care... So go away.

If you do care... good.

I like that second paragraph. The fact that anyone thinks that sexism is a political argument is maybe one of my more disturbing things about this whole topic.

It's one of the more disturbing things about certain portions of our community in general. That this is even being argued about baffles me. Either you are indifferent, you are sexist, or you are against women being treated like this. I know it sounds ridiculous or too black and white, but when you boil it down, there really isn't any other valid stance to take on the matter. I'm not saying you either hate women or you're going to rise up in aid of them. But I mean, these are real women, in the industry that we love (and probably most other industry's), being treated negatively based on their gender. It shouldn't be happening. You can't argue with that, unless you're in someway a misogynist. So discussing anything else really just distracts from the matter at hand. Why all these pedants are even attempting to argue semantics that aren't even relevant, really worries me.

CBS, please go grab Rich. GB needs a decent east coast correspondent. Most of the GB community already loves the guy, he would be a great fit.

It's funny how American's are taught more about the British in relation to this time period than the actual British are. People love to acuse American's of glossing over the not-so-shiny patches of their past, but they're clearly not the only ones to be guilty of that.

i hear she will be on the cover of the collectors edition... if its true, ill be a little disappointed, im not sexist or anything, i love women, but i would rather a generic cover for it like they did for ME2, or at least the male version that has been around the WHOLE series

Dude... Really? You'd rather have that douchey, roid-head, maleshep on the front of your box? Why? I mean, it baffles me that people even play as default MaleShep, considering the character design is so generic and the VO so shitty. FemShep just provides a better story and playing experience, I'd happily take a box with her on it.

So I guess this is this generations Metal Gear Solid 2?
Lolwut? How on earth do you figure that, The AA didn't have nearly as big an impact on the gaming world as MGS did, and AC doesn't have anywhere near the amount of hype surrounding it that MGS2 did. MGS was a better game than AA anyhow.
