While I completely agree with you, we have to resign ourselves to putting up with his sub-par writing skills for awhile. If you ever read destructoid pre 3 months ago you will see a lot of his posts are of the same quality. I have just decided to not even give the news story a page view unless I see that isn't penned by Brad N.

Mirror's Edge is quick, fun, and offers enough chance of pace that it doesn't wear out its welcome. Overall a fun game. 

So Alan Wake sells what, about 160k? Less? I hate how we don't get top 10 complete numbers now. NPD is slowly getting pointless to read. :(

What about #9 does anyone have that? 

I use to really like the gameradar's podcast but around episode 53-55ish it started getting really annoying. They added more people who didn't add anything themselves. It got really bad.

It takes two years to develop a video game. It is due to this that many games tend to be comparable to other games released around that time period. Whatever idea was "hot" at that time was turned into a game. 
 
So you need to look at what happened two years ago. Call of Duty 4 was released and it sold like crazy. Plus the market crashed. So many different publishers looked at that the landscape and said to themselves, we need a game that won't bomb otherwise we will go bankrupt. They saw Call of Duty 4, and pointed at a studio and said make this. So now little over two years later, we, the consumer, are seeing this. There are very few new original IP being released this year and every fifth game seems like a Modern Warfare knock off.  
 
My guess, this craze will not last as long as WWII stuff. In fact in a year or two I bet it will just be Medal of Honor and CoD left, because due to low market penetration XCOM and Homefront will not have sold well.
 
 
PS. I know this is off topic but the market crashing two years ago is the reason this summer of movies hasn't really had anything truly mind blowing. Just a Rule of Thumb, it takes two years to ever fully see the effects of the stock market, applies to almost anything.

Please somewhat explain why everyone hates nickelback, they are not original in any way but they are not horrible either.

One thing I think many people who only listened to the podcast didn't get was that everyone in the room was getting super annoyed with Leigh. They were slowly leaving the room that they were recording in and were going outside to not deal with her. At one point it was just Ryan, Leigh and I think Dino in the room because Ryan couldn't leave and Dino was just being nice. At the same time Jeff was livestreaming from his iphone basically showing that he wanted to talk about random stuff but didn't want to be in the podcasting room. 
 
The issue I have with Leigh is that she doesn't realize where her to stop. If she had been really drunk and acted that way, that fine whatever. But by insulting the audience of people who listen to and watch the bombcast. She insinuated that we are all children living with our parents. This was, to me, very degrading especially since i would wager that her readership overlaps with a lot of people who listen to the bombcast. 
 
Just my 2 cents.
