You downloaded the client which is now downloading the game files. You won't be able to play until the game is released or you get the early access. Just let it do its thing.
I love the KOTOR games, and I've never played an MMO. The videos I've seen of this game, especially those of OMFGcata, really make me want to give it a shot. I think it looks pretty awesome.

Morrowind was my favourite RPG and Skyrim is better than Morrowind. Feels great man.
Glorious unemployment
Bethesda is yet to release a game that is fun to play. At this point I'm certain that will never ever happen. You spent 100 hours on something so unenjoyable. How did you do it, mayng?

Its actually been pretty good so far. The only proper bug I experienced was when I had to walk out and reenter a room to get a puzzle to work properly. (The interact button wasn't working)
Even if it is a new character and a new storyline, I don't know if a year is enough time for them to make the changes they need to keep these games fresh. New lead character, new time period, new setting, new mechanics? That's a lot of work. Hope it's great.
I'm pretty sure they mentioned somewhere that they had two teams working on Assassins Creed. A team that was doing Brotherhood and Revelations and a team that was focusing more on Assassins Creed 3. I could be wrong though.
It wouldn't be an open world Bethesda game without stupid errors in it. It doesn't seem like a very big deal though. I doubt that will happen often enough to matter in the long run.
I saw someone get banned off a server because he used an rpg to kill the admin and two other guys. Pretty stupid. That combined with people constantly swearing at each other in the chat and acting like complete dicks has pretty much made me stick to the Giant Bomb server only.
