To keep things centralized for those who are playing the DLC today or in the coming days, I figured I'd start a post for it now. I'm going to be downloading it tonight and playing through it. I'm actually hoping it comes out in the next, like, 45 minutes or so, as they usually do their patching and blah blah blah at about 4AM PST. Nonetheless, if I have to wait for later tonight, I think I'll manage.
SOOOOOO psyched!

Demons of the Badlands DLC Is Out TODAY!!!
Just loaded up on MS points... just waiting to hear some more opinions on the DLC before I take the plunge... the previews (and one review) that I've read seem pretty awesome so farf
" @RHCPfan24 said:True, I just feel the need to beat a game before I play DLC, that's all." This looks cool but I need to do two things before I get it. 1) Get more Microsoft Points. 2) Actually beat the game. "You don't need to have beat the game to play it, considering that it's a prequel and the story sucks anyway. "
" @StarFoxA said:Don't worry, it won't take you long, unless you want to do all of the side stuff." @RHCPfan24 said:True, I just feel the need to beat a game before I play DLC, that's all. Alright, I haven't gotten to play the thing yet, as I'll have to wait until after I get off work to DL it. Why?
870+ FUCKING MEGABYTES!!! WOW!!! That's bigger than Battlefield 1943!!!
The other thing is this: I had remembered the early trailer saying something about this taking place 3 years AFTER the events in Red Faction Guerrilla. Now I've read on the description on XBL as well as in this thread that it's a prequel? WTF?
The thing I'm curious about is that they had said it would be adding a couple of new customization options to the multiplayer. Any truth to that rumor? I know that StarFox and Metroid already hit their 100k XP (I've been lazy and still sitting on 82K), so I'm wondering if there is anything past the 150K customization point. Some new badge emblems would be nice, and maybe even a couple of new badge icons and characters.
Soooo...played the DLC last night. There's only 3 missions that last, if you're lucky, two hours max. I don't even know how it took you four hours, StarFox. There's a decent amount of "achievement get" to the DLC, what with having to collect the power cells. Other than that, though, the DLC feels pretty thin for being 870+MB for a file size. Nothing is added to the multiplayer component like new customization options, which sucks because it feels like they could've EASILY thrown in a new type of "hammer" (like that crazy blade that's getting used in it). The guns should be added to the multiplayer as well, because that Spiker is badass and the Missile Pod makes me giddy when I'm using it.
For 800 points, I guess it's alright. I was hoping for something with a bit more replay value to it outside of grinding achievements. I guess that's all the single player game in the base game has to it after completion, though, so it's whatever. I'll talk more about it in my blog for the week.
