According to translated magazine scans, Sazh Kalzroy is going to be in your starting party and is described as "a nice guy". He is a middle aged man with good and moral judgment who is easily moved to tears. He has a crush on Lightning but she doesn't have a crush on him. He has a pet baby chocobo that nests in his afro. He uses the baby chick in battle. He loves the chocobo as if it were his child and is emotionally attached to it. He has good empathy which is a good contrast to Lightning. It seems Sazh's and Lightning's relationship will be a big part of the story. In magazine scans, Sazh can be seen holding on to Lightning trying to protect her but Lightning seems to not want any help and finds him annoying. Sazh's fighting style revolves around using his two pistols. He is a long ranged fighter, a good contrast to the close combat lightning. He has close range attacks as well.
