Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is a role-playing game developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 2. It is chronologically the fifth installment in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. Like its predecessor, its gameplay combines a traditional role-playing game with elements of a social simulation. Its critical and commercial success spawned a sizable media empire, including several spinoff titles.
The art is fine for animation purposes. The character page only has Chie, Yukikio, Yosuke and the MC. Which may tell us how much they expect this season to cover or it means they are going to completely rework everything.

The anime cutscenes in Persona 4 are terribly animated, yeah.
But at least they tried to represent Soejima Shigenori's art style. This looks like shitty fanart. Catherine and Trinity Souls look leaps better.....maybe the animation will be really good, but I'm not feeling the art style. At all.

I dunno. Look at Trinity Souls. The animation was fine.
Again, if this has UH--MAYZING! animation, I'll forgive it. But for now.....hype deflated.

Compare this with the Yosuke in that picture. Do I really need to point out the differences in the art here?
@mutha3: very vague differences, yes? It's not like it's completely totally different, I don't even see a difference in the style; and those pictures were made to not animate (with the exception on the eyes), of course they're going to look a little different?

oh my god you are really not seeing a difference are you.
Soejima art:
-Yosuke's,Yukiko and Chie have uniquely shaped faces(Soejima hallmark) yosuke has a large protuding chin, for instance -The characters facial features and their hair cast a shadow(Soejima's style again) -Soejima's character have the usual kinda "fish-like" diagonal eyes. Not very noticeable here with yosuke due to the angle, but very much so with yukiko.
This...thing:
-Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko have almost exactly the same face. With the only difference being Yosuke's face being a little longer - Only shadows on the MC's face, and they make no sense with where they're placed. Its just the card's giving off light which is causing that. -Generic ass anime features. Yukiko and Chie lack lips unlike Soejima's female designs etc
Its the same character design with a completely different anime art style.
