Endurance Run: Deadly Premonition: Part VJ-38

Not sure if anyone knows. But the Special ??? Door is unlocked like they were going to do it. But you need the card. And you meet York and you get the last card and get the achievement Collected All Trading Cards.

So really the only things really missed 
 
Infinite 357 (If you get all the bones before Willy takes them from you 
Infinite RPG (Map C)  
Yorks Car (bribing craphead)
Radio to fast travel (Flower to George when raining) 
Many Many Cards 
A bunch of suits (some regenerate health) 
Weather Changer doll (think this was from the Emily cooking quests) 
The Room (as talked about in other comments)  
 
Think that's all I remember

I'll miss having an ER but Deadly Premonition wasn't my first choice anyways.  It was strangely endearing, all things considered, but the game was pretty atrocious.

I enjoyed the endurance run in the way I'd enjoy a Plan 9 from Outer Space riff track.   The game and the story were terrible.  If Deadly Premonition is in the same category as Twin Peaks, then Plan 9 from Outer Space is in the same category as 2001: a space odyssey.

I've never really simultaneously felt a sense of grief and also relief over the events of an ending. I love the bond between York and Emily and one of my favorite moments in the game is when Emily first does the finger-poke-to-chest thing. Zach's tone of voice and manner also change in a way that show he's really peaceful now, which is a huge credit to the great voice acting. So even with the tragic death of Emily and the pseudo-death of York, the game ends on a really strong crescendo of hope.   

As for the unexplained parts. First, I think part of the fun in this game is exactly that, filling in the gaps with your imagination.  I feel like some story elements were just kept abstract and surreal with no intention of it fitting into any logic. I guess I can deal with that easier than others. Mood and symbolism were always a premium even if some consistancy was sacrificed. But through it all, the characters stayed in character which, in the face of all the absurd and bizarre, grounds the story in a way that still lets you connect emotionally. It's exactly why you can consider the sloppiness of other aspects charming, because you forgive it for the characters.
 
Well more or less that's all I can say. I have absolute gratitude for Jeff and Vinny and everyone else who made this happen. Once again there's a void in my day, but this is hands down some of the best gaming related entertainment content on the net or anywhere, and the choice of game couldn't have been better. I had so much fun watching these endurance runs, thank you. I plan on picking up Deadly Premonition sometime and playing it with my girlfriend, we both love weird stuff.

I'm sad that the ER is over. But man it was a blast.

Another excellent Endurance Run I think Persona 4 was the better Endurance Run but this was still pretty good. Keep up the good works guys. 
 I bet in Deadly Premonition 2 we find out that Willie is the true mastermind behind it all.

Only thing i'm gonna miss about this ER is the jokes and commentary from V&J that's it... The game was as many others has pointed out, atrocious, the gameplay just annoyed me and story was, meh I guess ok.

Little thing I noticed after I beat the game:  Zach subtly trying to point York in the right direction with Kaysen figures as marks on the map showing where all the previous murders occured.

As much as this game drove me bonkers in the first half of the ER, it's certainly gotten more entertaining as it went on.

What Phys-X on a 360, how does that work (ATI Graphics)...

Found spirit map C also at this point in the game, decided to pass on getting it but after seeing sidequests giving you other infinite weapons (flamethrower, guitar & magnum) I guess that it's for the M-16, also missed the Mr. Stewart/Michael sidequest that's only up at the end chapter. Did finally get York's car & finish off the roaming Sigourney sidequest which has a strange set of rewards (Emily's car, suit & believe a card).  
 
Loved the deer rocking out when you play something on the jukebox... all it needs is a luchador mask.
 
My choice for a sequel, York returns (liked his look over Zach & one of my favorite characters now) & maybe something in the New Orleans area (suddenly remembering Gabriel Knight series). 
 
Jeff at least this Endurance Run didn't take as long as the last one, though just as entertaining, thanks again for putting these up.

This ER was good, but I think that was because these two made it hilarious. I've still got mixed feelings about the ending and the game as a whole. Also, I think if Jeff doesn't want to do another ER, he doesn't have to. No point in doing one if he isn't motivated enough.

Great ER, but damn that game was confusing. 

It's been great fun watching this endurance run, Thanks Vinnie, Jeff, Brad and Ryan for making such hilarious shows. Can't wait till the next one! 
 
EDIT: By the way, was it really Zach to everyone and always had white hair but We thought he had brown hair, or did his hair actually change colour in the games real world? Anyone know?

Thanks for the ER! I'd never have heard about this game otherwise, and it actually turned out to be a pretty decent story.

Sooo... Worst game on this generation of platforms? With Persona 4 we laughed with the game, this time around we laughed at it, pointing in disbelief. Sure was entertaining though, at least for the most parts. Sooo much pointless filler stuff.

Oh well, not all games can be winners, see you guys next time!
