The reason that first box broke was probably because the anti-terror bomb robot had a hold of it. If you write something in squiggly letters and some of the only English on it reads GIANT BOMB, that is what you would expect would happen.

*EDIT* "Plantagen Chokolat" means "Plantation Chocolate"... and you what that's slang for, so don't eat that.

How very witty......

German "Rausch" chocolate. Fairly new company, extremely expensive for chocolate available at your usual supermarket chains... but great stuff if it's "fresh", didn't get any summer heat and is far away from it's expiration date. I like the 75% and 80% chocolate ones with a good red wine and the 35% to 45% ones with a glass of milk and all of them with a nice hardcover comic book (for READING! ...who'd eat a comic book?! It's sure to give you cancer from the poorly sealed chinese laser-printer dust!).

It's crazy how much you learn about other cultures just from these International Mailbag episodes. So great to see stuff like this. Makes me hungry, too! =D

The intended joke was people confuse Israel as being similar to countries like Pakistan or Syria even though they are mainly Jewish and referred to as a "free country", the only one in that area.

More proof that they should just either really better package the liquids (thinking the bottle size was more the issue) or stick with tougher glass bottles well wrapped, rest of this looks quite interesting.

I'm gonna guess the "flakey marshmallow" Drew ate was halva? Maybe? Looked a bit like it.

I think maybe we need to write up a Giantbomb specific FAQ on shipping beverages. How to prevent breakage. How to prevent spillage. How to seal beverage bottles in such a way that, if they do become compromised, they will not foul the rest of the box.

Ziplock bags and vacuum packs are your friends.

edit---- Hey Brad, if you're looking for healthy snacks, give roasted chickpeas a try. Preferably homemade. The store bought ones are overpriced and poorly seasoned.

1 can unsalted chickpeas, strain and rinse thoroughly

Pour into clean bowl. Add 1 tablespoon oil. Add seasoning to preferred taste. Salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, onions, garlic, etc. all work fine. Chickpeas are fairly bland by themselves so you can season them with pretty much anything you'd like.

Place a sheet of foil on to a cookie sheet. Spread chickpeas in single layer on foil. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, remove and shake the pan, bake for another 15 minutes. Let cool and serve at room temperature.

Yum.

Bisli and Bamba are the BEST. Imagine cheetos that taste like peanut butter instead of cheese and that's Bamba. Bisli is like non-shitty chex mix. Israel has some crazy-awesome snack food, it's too bad the box got slightly ruined in the mail.

That box was annihilated. Hahah exact reason I'm afraid to ever send drinks to the guys. Really should just send a box of vegemite, probably one person in their entire building who would even eat it XD
