Wow you guys are way off regarding the TMNT games.  First off yes, the NES game was an NES game, end of story.  Also TMNT 3 was great and it was NES.  Even more so TMNT:TiT was greatness.  This is personal experience but I spent so much time with this and it was a great multiplayer game.  Actually I just replayed this game recently on my not-R4 on my DS at work last week and it was pure greatness.  The TMNT fighting game blew.

Regarding TMNT Movies:
TMNT 2 was the best movie, although less gritty than TMNT 1.  Much better humor and better at capturing the cartoon type of writing that was prevalent in the US at the time.  TMNT wasn't bad at all, it just had different goals.  TMNT 3 was just ridiculous and broken, still waiting to watch TMNT the new one even though I have the dvd sitting by.  If it isn't live action I don't care.

I feel the Bombcast is supremely lacking flavour these days.

Killing Floor used to be a UT04 Mod, so technically, it came before L4D. i didn't like it much though.

Killing Floor is originally a UT04 mod and it came out way before Left 4 Dead.

I'd just like to say that the upgrades for integrating achievements into user profiles is an awesome idea. Well done, Mr Snider!

Nice, I'm really looking forward to the integrated achievements. Since everyone will be automatically rolled in it will make it easier to compare accurately.

Variable pricing is the only way hardcore  flight sims could come back - $200+ for a top of the line sim?  The people who want would pay it, and the rest wouldn't but they wouldn't buy it at $60 either.

In my country a DSi is almost twice as expensive as a DS lite, it costs as much as a 60GB XBOX 360 premium (which is by the way cheaper than a Wii)

To Bombcast crew,

I really enjoy the show, but your statement regarding the "fact" that no one in Japan plays Tekken 6 could not have been further from the truth.  Since it has been out, Tekken 6 and BR have topped the charts as the most played arcade game in Japan. Not even SF4 was able to break its hold from the top spot. Tekken 6 has only been knocked down from first place once during  BlazeBlue's release month. The reason being that, at the time Tekken 6 BR just released, so the numbers on the charts were distrabuted between Tekken 6 BR and Tekken 6.

See for yourself,

http://sdtekken.com/2009/05/03/arcadia-no-109-rankings/
http://sdtekken.com/2009/03/22/april-2009-arcadia-news/
http://sdtekken.com/2009/02/01/march-2009-arcadia-news/

You can keep going through the archives and find that Tekken 6 and Tekken 6 BR have consistently been the number 1 arcade game in Japan for a long while now.

I expect a correction and clearafication in your next podcast, seen as it is the responsible thing to do. Gamespot's podcast "Hotspot" actually has a dedicated segment for this, which I believe is a great part of their show. It allows for the listeners to correct mistakes, that otherwise could leave a negative impression on a person that takes your words as gospel regarding games/information. It also kinda forces you guys to be at the top of your game.

Cheers.

Dude, chill.

By the way, the bell curve idea sounds fantastic.  The average should be a "C" so that an "A" or an "S" actually means something.

After hearing Dave describing Cryostatis I was interested in purchasing it. I was about the buy it at my local game store but they were out of copies, so I went home and discovered that it's up on Steam now (and cheaper than physical copy, at least where I live). Just a heads up for anyone else interested in this game.

Tekken 6... yeah... nobody cares.  In fact, I hope they print out your comment and poop on it on the next podcast.  I'll be looking forward to that.  This aint Gamespot.

Seriously though, if you take everything that comes out of their mouth that seriously... you're probably on the wrong site.  I'm not being a dick this time, either... I'm quite serious.

All I did was inform them. I dont know where you guys are getting the impression that I am spazzing out or something. If it was regarding any other game I would have done the same.

Lol, and if I took everything they said seriously I would probably hate this podcast rather than love it. But it was pretty blatant, that while they were exaggerating, they were; on their part being honest as well regarding this matter.

And why do you hope they poop on my post in the next podcast? Just because I corrected them regarding a matter?....Thats pretty sad.

Wouldnt you find it interesting that a game you thought noone played was inactuality  the most played game in the market?   I would, and I think they would as well, thus my post....So whats the problem here?

Night at the Museum wasn't that bad. Agree that there is no need for a second one though : /

Also I heard there will be ~100 games being ported from UMD to download when PSP GO comes out. I wish they would release some of the stuff on the Japanese store though.

This achievement integration sounds pretty cool.

Have you guys seen TrueAchievements.com? What they attempt to do sounds similar to what you guys are talking about. It determines how "rare" certain achievements are amongst people that have played that game, factors how many people have played a given game, etc. and assigns achievements their own score accordingly.

An R4DS is EASIER to get and use compared to custom firmware as that actually requires an install and stuff; getting an SDHC card and a R4DS cart is the simplest thing possible. I don't see how piracy is affecting the PSP anymore than the DS.

And if the PSP GO! has no UMD slot I will not purchase it. I want a new PSP as my FAT is a little scuffed up and heavy.

Custom firmware is a lot cheaper than buying a card. It's pretty much free. Piracy that involves buying defeats the whole point I think.

Didn't think it was as simple as downloading and installing new firmware. Haven't looked into modding a PSP but heard about chances of bricking a system and things like that compared to a simple cart. an R4DS is like 20 bucks and you can get an SDHC card for 5 bucks. People will spend 25-30 bucks for never needing to buy another game or cart again.

Piracy requires internet service, Hard Drive space and often a mod that costs money. You pay for piracy in the front end but save on actual purchases.

Bad Dudes still holds up. Bought it on my Switch and it's still great.

TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project on NES was really fun. Same kind of Konami Arcade Game brawler with Z-axis and it was rad. Turtles in Time, both arcade and SNES is one of the most solid games of its genre ever.

Dave's not a bastard -- he's right. Say no to Bethshit.

Even back in 2009, the zombie fad was overdone as hell. How the crap is that oversaturated garbage still around today?
