Good to hear Black getting some air time, I love that game.

With all this talk of Doom and Quake and Wolfenstein, I'd really love a proper re imaging of Rise of the Triad. There was that semi-recent remake that was good at capturing the spirit of the old game but it was a horribly unpolished game on top of having the same weaknesses the original had.

Also, that ad for that other podcast made me instantly not want to listen. That was the most r/iamverysmart description I have ever heard.

Maybe I came to it way too late but that game did little for me. If anything I seriously disliked the open world format.

Weirdly enough I really enjoyed Need for Speed Rivals a whole lot and that is a very similar gameplay model.

I'm also having problems playing the Bombcast. Earlier it worked fine but then I had to leave. When I got back on, I couldn't skip to where I was before. Wont load to it. I tried again a few hours later and now it thinks the bombcast is about 1 hour and 16 seconds long.

Heads Up: I not one of the people who blanket hates the crew liking Overwatch. Hell, I'll probably pick up the game at some point soon myself, I just don't want to hear about it from every corner of the internet on every other post. Not the GB Crew's fault of course...I guess it's just at such a critical mass online that you can't avoid the thing right now.

Urgh, there's something that bloody really kills me out about Brad always nixing any talk of multiplayer games really quickly that he's not into. We had to listen to countless bullshit updates about DOTA2 and like a whole year of weekly Destiny patch notes but he's already started shutting down Overwatch discussion a week out of it's release.

Brad not playing BLACK makes me sad.

Burnout 3 is the best, I felt so disappointed with Paradise. Only good mode was the scoreboards for crash scenarios.

I remember playing the demo of Evil Within and then ragequitting it. Not entirely sure what the straw was for me, but i do remember it had to do with fire or lighting.

Cortana is Microsofts answer to Siri? Siri is probably the worst of the natural language voice assistants, leagues and leagues below Google Now. Google Now is orders of magnitude faster and more accurate at any query, and significantly more intelligent when it comes to natural language comprehension. So Microsoft better be aiming higher then Siri if it wants Cortana to mean anything.

The scariest thing about The Evil Within was the frame rate.

I was one of those people whoo put their PS2 in the vertical stand and I only found out recently through the old press kit videos on the site that you could rotate the logo.

@neozeon: I think it's fine to skip parts of the podcast because there's subjects you don't care about, I do that with podcasts all the time, it's the UGH MORE TALK ABOUT X posts that just seem so pointless to me. It's strange to me that people feel the need to post about a podcast discussing something they don't care about, instead of just skipping past it, especially when it's like 8 minutes about the most popular game on the planet right now.

I see this with pretty much every "current events" gaming podcast I follow, and the criticism just seems to have such little substance. Just a pet-peeve I guess.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the repeated quips about Trump on this here weekly podcast is getting tiresome. Do some on Hillary and her creepy husband also, for the sake of balance, diversity, and all that jazz. Come on guys, at least ask yourselves why Trump is even possible instead of just spurting out quips making it sound as if you guys are shooting for jobs at Salon.

Please do not alienate those of us who don't share your views in politics, we bigoted, racist, xenophobic cunts care about games and your site too :)

As someone from Fresno, I can confirm that it is a brown streak in California.

Edit: The mall that Jeff went to is in Clovis and it's bus advertisement only had the logos for a Chipotle, Sears, and a some weird makeup store. Also the NRA anime shop was opened first in the better mall only to be closed down because not even anime fans were stupid enough to walk in there.

When Jeff mentioned "That Crystal shop" in the last email, it made me wonder about this "Alternative Bookstore" close to my home, which has somehow survived while several restaurants and clothing stores next door to it has closed over the years... Hmmm....

Well I live just caddy corner from that dead mall. It had its heyday back in the 90s and did an expansion to it about 8 years ago to help gain some business. they even have an indoor electric go karts.. nice place but very much a ghost town.

Total agreement on the sluggishness of the Xbox One UI. I will say, I have a Xbox 360 Slim E model (the one that looks like Xbox One), and the UI is very snappy on that version of the console.

@amyggen: I wouldn't call it a pet peeve really. It's understandable to see something like that and know that the solution to their "problem" is only a click or swipe away. I'll be honest: The constant internet chatter about the game was a bit annoying sometimes, but that didn't stop me from picking the game up yesterday.

Now comes the real challenge: Trying to not suck at it and let the team down!

It's been possible to get Witcher 1+2 on GOG via a similar method to this account linking for a couple of years. I believe it was in 2014 that CDPR made some deal with GOG where you could just input a CD key for one of the Witcher games, and you'd get a "free" copy of it on GOG. I made use of this because I bought Witcher 1 on sale from a third-party site once, not knowing it wasn't a Steam copy. I have Witcher 2 on Steam, but figured I might as well get it on GOG as well via this deal. I don't think I'm going to make use of this GOG/Steam thing because while I was happy to get a non-Steam copy of Witcher 1 on GOG to use, I am very much a sheep for Steam and just want all of my games on there. I get so upset when I buy a game from a third-party site and then find out it's not a Steam copy. After doing this... three times, I think? I've learned my lesson to check carefully first.

That's because you are a reasonable person. Your interest in a game shouldn't have anything to do with your interest in the Bombcast's coverage of a game, if you are a sane person. You listen to the Bombcast for educational and entertainment purposes like almost everyone else. People who listen to either just complain or look for the staff to agree with all of their tastes will tend to get angry a lot.
