Reviews: Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Video Review

That undercover cop mode seems very interesting, hopefully something like that makes it into a sequel or other franchise.  
Why so short, only 4 hrs really?

Im disapointed, after playing the demo I was looking forward to getting this but i don't think I will anymore. Shame to see the visual style wasted on a game with so little content.

I played the first one and stopped at the military part, that's the part when you notice how much the gameplay truly sucks.... I was kinda looking forward to this game but the gameplay still feels off to me somehow. All ya have to do is point and shoot but it bothers me for some reason in this game. Kane & Lynch has potential but I'm just not digging it, hopefully they get another try and it turns out better. When the price drops I'll still buy it though just play through it or not.

This review is blowing my mind.

i'll try this game just for the undercover cop multiplayer, that seems pretty fun. the visual style also seems interesting enough for a play-through, but 4 hours? dammmn. even if jeff just played through it quickly, 5 or 5 and a half doesn't seem all that better.

I'm impressed that Jeff would warn the developers about a bug before launch day.  If I were in his position, I'd sit back and watch those guys get burned.
 
Four hour games for $60 is becoming pretty common.  That's sad.  *Goes back to my 98th hour of Dragon Quest IX*

Great video review! It's a shame between the Undercover Cop mode, the awesome visual style, etc. the campaign turned out to be so mediocre.

But I really don't get why people would play a FPS on consoles at all. Maybe if you could plug in a mouse and a keyboard.. with a controller all FPS games feel weird. You can't turn as fast as you want to and that way you have a very limited field of view - which just sucks imo. Even though for a singleplayer experience it might be good enough, multiplayer wise these limitations would be unbearable for me. 
 
FPSs, MMORPGs and RTSs = mouse and keyboard only - at least for me
 
PS: Oh my, I have to add third-person cover based shooter to that list, thanks for telling me and sorry for being brainafk. ;-)

Having had tons of fun with less-than-perfect shooters like Deadly Premonition and 50 Cent Blood on the Sand, Kane and Lynch 2 looks like it'll be amazing...at 20 dollars... just like those 2 previous games I mentioned.

The multiplayer still sounds interesting, but I think more so in theory than practice.  Having said that I think a TNT would be fucking hilarious with this game.  Just a thought.
