Oh man, I thought this game was supposed to be like a $15 downloadable game. Then I found out that this was a retail release at the full $60 and that's a hilarious shame. Truth be told though, I don't think that I would buy this game at $15.

Don't think anyone's particularly enthralled by this game, but it doesn't seem as bad...or well, the analog leaning is neat, and assigning it to a pressure-sensitive press of the left trigger is clever. It's less restrictive than a standard cover system as you can plant yourself wherever, not just behind concrete slabs. And you've got full analog control over the peeking and ducking. Liked it in MoH AIrborne, felt more dynamic and involved.

But if you can't switch those actions around, and have to try to erase the muscle memory of pressing down the trigger all the way to aim, then that's bad.

Guys, just pop up the controll screen in game for one sec: press L2 halfway down=aim and move.. 
 
anyways, demo turned me of it, which is a shame. I prefer bulletstorm any day^^

The half-trigger pull iron sight mechanic is kind of interesting, but shouldn't it be the other way around? In an action-oriented FPS, I would think you'd always want the ability to move and quickly and easily pop in and out of iron sights. A full pull on a trigger is easier than a half-pull, so the full pull should be mapped to regular iron sights and the half pull should be mapped to lean. Am I crazy for thinking this?
 
That's all moot though, since backwards controls seem the to be the least of this game's problems.

Hm. Watching this, I feel like I have a bit more clarity on how this game plays. Unfortunately, I was basing most of what I heard/saw on periphery information, so it was hard to have a concrete visualization of this game. 
 
The game doesn't seem awful, but it does seem like it lost a lot of what made Black fun. The set piece moments and nonstop "never stop shooting" mentality are a few of the things lost in translation. Also, I skipped around a bit in the video, but can you shoot your grenades in midair? I loved doing that in Black.

So it would be better for them to not let you join a lobby with a match in progress so you can never find a game because the only two games going are already in progress?

That's a good point; I think the half-trigger stuff would work fine if it was the other way around.

If nothing else, I do like the design of the title treatment for this game.

Also, the graphical bells & whistles of the menu interface are lifted straight from 007: Blood Stone intel cutscenes.

Codemasters should stick to only making racing games. I remember getting Turning Point: Fall of Liberty from Gamefly a couple years back, and putting it back in the mail after playing it for about 20 minutes.
