I watched most of the live feed. Game looks so painfully cut & paste MMO. Dave is right, when you see a quest say 0/25 collected you know it's bullshit.

MMOs are not like any other RPG in that single-player RPGs usually are much more tactile, have much more refined gameplay and of course more focus on story.

Seems like the audio is off.  Like they're talking about something happening a half second before it actually happens.  Which makes for odd viewing.

I'd like someone to pay me 60 dollars for playing an MMO for 8 hours. Value isn't the same as play time. You can play the 8 hour game over and over if you like. There are many games like RTS and fighting games that I don't personally much care for, but some how it's easy to understand why someone else would. MMOs just are a mystery to me. I might be the unlucky one, I'm not judging anyone. I just don't understand, like I don't understand many other things.

That's a dangerous argument to make. A person's enjoyment of any activity is very subjective. Some want to do the same thing over and over for months on end for $50-60 + $15/monthly. Others rather pay $20-$60 on a title that they will get 10-100 hours out of and then move on to something else. 
 
I'm not defending the OP, I'm just sharing my perspective. I never really got into a MMO until I played WoW. And after playing deep into that game for years I finally reached my MMO limit. Watching this just reminds me of why I quit WoW and went back to playing my 360.

I enjoyed the beta a lot. Though (as my avatar probably suggests) I'm a huge DC fanboy anyhow. Can't justify a monthly at the moment though.
 
Will more than likely get into it in the future, mind. Unless it crashes and burns horribly.

I would love to see a mini endurance run of this.  It'd be awesome if they could pick an MMO and do a some twice-a-week videos of adventures in some MMO.  They could switch up the game every two months or so.

I'm not making a statement about what a person enjoys doing. I'm just making a statement about the amount of content you'd get with a 60 dollar game versus 15 dollar subscription, or a free-to-play model. Some people just see the amount of content that an MMO comes front loaded with as better value.
