Seems like a fun dlc to me. Season pass might actually be worth it if the next 2 are decent as well.

Yeah from what i remember you killed them via UV turrent.

Maybe the natural UV from the sun isn't strong enough to actually kill them?

I thought kryll could only go out in the dark. Isn't that the whole point of them? Wasn't the mechanic in the first game staying in the light? Didn't whats-his-face say like 30 seconds before that seeders were inking the sky so kryll could come out?

So why are the kryll on Raam flying around in sunlight?

Also RAAM should enchant that Daedric dagger, and get the 15x backstab perk.

That fire looks amazing at the beginning, and it makes me cry from beauty.

The Raam parts (bad pun to be worked here) get kind of stale quick. He has only the two moves and you basically repeat the same objective five or six times. I would have liked to see more variation with him. Perhaps a part where you could ride his giant reaper(?) thing.

I'm guessing because the DLC takes place before Gears 1 (and serves as backstory for Jace) and has none of the Delta Squad guys in it... so, why would that be in the first game?

This looks pretty fucking awesome. The first Gears of War is still my favorite of my series by far so I'm really excited to play this.

Finished this today - very happy with the mileage I've gotten out of Gears 3. Disappointed that Jeff didn't get RAAM's superfuckingawesome execution during the QL; I was excited to hear their reaction.

I honestly don't remember Thai and I can kinda see how you wouldn't remember Kim but Raam? He was a badass and the final boss. Don't know where all this "that boss was excruciating!" stuff is coming from, I beat the first game on the hardcore or whatever difficulty and don't remember Raam being too much of an issue. He was also a much more memorable boss than Skaar who I thought was completely forgettable.

They missed the best part about playing as Raam; when dudes are down on the ground you can CUT OFF THEIR FUCKIN HEADS.

@Jeff what exactly do you want with promotional content? It's not like it's asking you to go to a website and link your Facebook account or some shit. It's a free gun skin you get for playing through the campaign on insane. Would you rather be paying for it?

@Rox360: I assume you haven't even seen the skin in question, have you? It's a green digital camo skin that is nothing but... green digital camo. How is that turning people into walking billboards for MI4?

Also, no shit Epic is getting paid for it. This isn't the first time they've had promotional DLC. For Gears 1, the first map pack was free because it was sponsored by the Discovery Channel. By using those maps, did that make me a walking billboard for them?

In what world is 3 1/2 hours of content lengthy? It was crazy that we all accepted it from Modern Warfare the 1st (even I, the cynical one, bought that game for near full price and drooled over the single player).

Pretty awesome DLC but way too pricy for what it offers.Besides that it is nice variety and goodies.

I'm liking this DLC so far. The atmosphere of Gears 1 was so much better than that of the other two, and I feel like they capitalize on it pretty well here.

You're comparing length for a full game (COD) with length for a piece of DLC attached to a game (RAAM's Shadow). 3 1/2 hours is clearly too short for a full game, but for a piece of singleplayer DLC after the full game it's pretty long compared similar offerings.
