Quick Look: Gran Turismo 5

This really is the worst Quick Look I have ever seen. I really think that you guys should have tried the game out off camera with and without the install before starting up the camera. 

I would like to see a Quick Look with this running from a machine with it installed. I'm not sure that you guys gave this game a fair shake. I'm sure that if MGS4 didn't have a mandatory install it would have run just as slow. 

MGS: Turismo.

For those of you  wondering, 23:10 is where you have to fast forward to to start seeing actual gameplay footage.

I really think forza 3 looks better than this game. Probably is overall a better game too.

It depends. With the more hardcore PC sims, driving safe is absolutely necessary in order to drive fast consistently. Consequences of crashes are horrible. "

Wow, that is the worst, most inconsistent music I've heard in any game. The music is just bad son!

Looks kind of cool. (helluva long quick look, not complaining though) Doesn't seem like a game for me. I think I'll stick to the DiRT games for my racing needs.

Gotta love the Japanese with their shitty UIs and bad music. Love as in hate.

The first 20 minutes were brutal to watch. I could only watch about 10 minutes more to be honest. The game just seems too meh for me.

15 minutes in and I'd already be pissed I paid for that.

For a game about going fast, everything sure does take a long time, doesn't it?

Aww, I was hoping they'd take a look at the photo mode. That's one of the best features in the game I think, not to mention that the cars look effing amazing in the photos. Then again, I'm more interested in the cars themselves rather than the actual racing.. It's a "car and driving"-game really, if you want super realistic racing you would play Live for Speed or rFactor or something like that.

Also, I was hoping Jeff would turn off the assists at some point, especially on the snow track.

An hour and a half? Fuuuuuuck, I can't watch this today, I need sleep...and I already somehow managed to get through both intros. Save this one for later when I have time to kill.

 I don't get why they use a MCR song for the 2nd intro track.

Funny how people always start the critic on the concept of quick looks if their favourite game is involved. They are doing exactly what you describe since they started doing quick looks. And I think people know that those videos are not the place to get definitive information about a game. "

Wow does this look boring. I think I'll play Forza 3 if I want to play a realistic driving game

OMG IM TOTALLY IN THE QUICKLOOK ON JEFF'S FRIENDS LIST! WOOT! 2 sec's of fame right there.

This is pretty laughably bad. Poor shadowing,  poor track detail, poor scenery modelling,  character modelling, sound effects, engine noise. The list is HUGE. You can't even move the in car cam around.  To top it all it's clinical and boring. HAHAHAHA. Biggest flop ever. So glad I stayed away. 

Even the funky training video slap bass cannot save this terrible game.
