Quick Look: Left 4 Dead 2 Demo

I currently hate Valve...

It doesn't feel finished (voice work, weapon animations, certain lighting), hopefully that's just how the demo is.

this game....is going to be shit

I don't like this, it sucks! Zombies are lame. Valve sucks! Valve made a half game before and now this is the other half game. I laugh at all valve fans.

I wish I had the money to pick this up, L4D was a great game.

I'm playing it right now, it's not that different from the last game. However, it's a good 45 dollars spent.

no, it's just the 360 controller. say what you want, but a mouse is great for pointing and clicking. It's like using cartesian coordinates instead of polar coordinates. "

I'm glad these guys do quicklooks for people who actually enjoy watching them. The amount of people who bitch about how the games are played is funny. There is always the option not to watch. I'd rather watch someone play a game their own way than the way I want them to play it, cause guess what, I'll play it my way later. Everyone needs to relax, it's not a pissing match, we all know you play games waaaay better than everyone else...

The wide angle and quick movement made me nauseous.

...funny, out of all my playthroughs so far we've never had an AK47 drop. Just that burst rifle.

Dudes, as much as I appreciate QLs, there's an element of frustration when hearing commentary that indicates that there's little experience with the game. Although that's understandable, it still kills the potential for the more interesting questions/comments for those that have played the game for a longer extent of time.

Seriously guys? i was looking forward to watching you guys play this but only one of you, with debatable skills and lack of l4d knowledge.... was not enjoyable. must do better!

I'm PUMPED. Not going to buy it but I enjoyed renting the last one for a weekend and this one looks the same but awesomer!

-We tried for 30 minutes to get an Advanced game going. Nobody was joining. It was also my first time running through the demo. We do have time constraints around here. 
 
-I wish I had the time to have played a lot more Left 4 Dead, but if we spent a year playing the same game, how would we cover everything else that comes out? Those whose job is covering games don't get to play only the games they want, for as long as they want. It's rare we get to keep playing a game at all once we've finished covering it, actually. Anyone who wants to get into this line of work ought to keep that in mind.

" @Crushed: I just think Quicklooks are for entertainment value and not supposed to be a "true" preview of a game. I imagine the thought that goes into these are very minimal and spur of the moment, which is the way I prefer them so that they avoid being too vanilla or rehearsed. If I want a fact based, by the numbers preview video of a game, I'll look elsewhere, but at least here I get humor and personality (which includes the way the game is played, good or bad) On a similar note, if the Persona Endurance Run was played by RPG professionals, it probably would of suffered for it. Different strokes for different folks I guess and as long as these videos keep up the current style I'll keep being entertained. "

Well game is looking great, Too bad won't be playing it in Australia cause were getting a censored version and it has no decapitation, bodies on the floor, less gore, so it be nothing like the real game.

Wow this doesn't look too hard, at least on normal, but it looks great nonetheless. I love the new graphics and dismemberment.
