Quick Look: LOTR: Conquest

I love these quick look vids.  I'd love a SimAnimals one too.

The voices and lines in this game are just beyond awful, "A Cave Troll comes!" like who the fuck said anything like that in the fiction, it doesn't even sound authentic.

Plus Balin's Tomb looks stupid, it looks nothing like it did in the film, it's like someone stuck a huge flourescent light up there, and not to get uber nerdy and picky here...but it's supposed to be Goblins not Orc Grunts...*sigh* i hate my self.

Oh and for a while Dynasty Warriors had quite a few buttons that did different things, combos and such, not so much now...it's more dumbed down than ever.

EDIT: sorry i've got more pathetic rant juice. Gandalf the White? it should be Grey!

dude, these quick looks are sooooooo awesomewe. I can watch quicklooks for hours and not get bored, just because of you guys going through it. But I would not be able to play this game for like 5min...

I played the demo of LOTR Conquest, it seemed rather stupid. If I had been EA, I would not have released that demo.

Aside from the bombcast... these quicklooks are my favorite feature @ giantbomb!

The game doesn't look as "crap" as everyone blindly says it does, but it also doesn't look great. Specifically, I think what makes it bad to begin with is the Lord of the Rings title, and the expectations that comes with it. The fact that they took so many liberties with the storyline and even basic lore of character types within an established series with almost a fanatical following just sets it up to look mediocre to poor.

Wizards of the sort they included in the game should not be there. That is my biggest peeve.

Yes!!!!! another quick look, i do enjoy these...........i played the demo when it was first release, i enjoyed the game being a fan. However with these not so good reviews about LOTR: Conquest, not 100% I'm willing to spend 60 bucks on this game. I'll wait til the price goes lower.

Regardless of how good or bad the game is, the quick looks are always awesome.

Oh yes, a Sim Animals quick look would be great.

Oh man I really wish I didn't buy this game and just waited for Skate 2 or something....now I'm low on cash and am stuck with this.

Did anybody else notice the 2 mages run off the cliff, that deserves another star just for that.

Oh boy. That was the most uninterested I have heard Brad since the sleepy E3 podcast.

From now on Brad shouldn't be allowed to do these Quick Look videos. At least when Jeff is bored he makes it funny and entertaining. Brad made me want to shoot myself.

Good lord this looks terrible

Im just gonna join in and say that I REALLY appriciate these kind of quick looks. This is really the only gaming site doing this and this is by far the best way to get a taste of something. This is so far and above a trailer or a plain gameplay video. And with the pace that you´ve been cranking these out I´m really impressed.
You should take into consideration picking a suitable game and do a marathon of some kind aswell.

Quicklooks are the bomb...of the giant variety.

The game looks rather clunky I should say, everyone moves like they have a lead shit in their pants.

The "that's a headshot, that's a headshot" comment was the highlight of the video, I had a good laugh.

This was THE worst game I've ever played. It fucking. Sucks. FUCK! It literally pains me to play it. Like my ribs will hurt.

They should only do videos for games they think will do well.

Multiplayer in this game is fun, but single player is horrible.

These quicklooks are quite entertaining. But this game seems very blah and meh.

At least with Battlefront the sounds were good and the combat was fun. In this it doesn't appear anything is good, and why can't you fight the Balrog out on the bridge? And why is Gandalf wearing white instead of grey when he's fighting it? Come on, go rent the movies again, or read the books, and bring us a better LOTR title. Just because you have the franchise, doesn't mean you can do whatever the **** you want with it.

Oh...and the head shot head shot head shot thing was lol.

I love the quicklooks guys, it's a different experience watching someone play through the game while talking than it is listening to them just review it. I'd love to see something like this with a multiplayer game...

At least it has good music.
