Quick Look: Moon Diver

Hella quick looks this week. I'm into it. 

The "backdrop of the burning city looks hilariously bad.

Played the demo yesterday.  It is a very fun game and I will definitely look into buying this soon.

Roll on the Quick Looks! (even for games that I wouldn't play, such as this!)

I prefer Holy Diver R.I.P. Dio, we miss you :(

pretty cool little game, I watched half of it then I watched TNT and forgot what they said about the guys that developed this, I just remember strider being mentioned. So I'm wondering what else they worked on, on the GB page it just says Lost Odyssey

This is what the Strider for PS1 should have been like, except singleplayer. For a post SOTN game, it wasn't very post SOTN -- unlike this one.
 
However, that is a shitty, terrible looking font in the level intros. I played part of a fan translation of Front Mission 5, and that awful font made me want to stop playing. YUCK!

So is this game the reason there is no Strider in MvC3??

Yep, this game is hella Strider-y.  That's okay in my book.

This really looks like a ton of fun and I really like that idea of character progression even if you game over

reminds me of Strider 2 on ps1

This was my first week back at work, and now we get an avalanche of quicklooks.  Coulda used this last week!

1.  Extra long special animations for stuff you use frequently
2.  ambiguous or obscure unlock criterias
3.  repetitive locations and enemy types
4.  anime weapons that have all kind of curves and swooshes and make no practical sense

This is exactly the type of game Japanese devs should've been making for XBLA and PSN since the systems came out in '05 and '06. THANK YOU, FEELPLUS!

Really dig the look of the game, especially the effects. Looks fun too. Also holy goddamn fuck have there been a lot of Quick looks this week. Thanks :D

I'd play it if you could unlock Strider Hiryu.

This looks pretty decent.

Diggin' it. I'm down. But I'm conflicted. I dunno how much I like the one and done of single-player, but multiplayer just looks straight up bananas.

Looks pretty cool. Might pick it up this weekend.

Camera seems a little too close for all of the fast movement of multiple players.
