Quick Look: NeverDead

Looks like a bunch of horseshit.

Won't play this.

Man this started out really promising and just... fell of the cliff.

Also interesting to note that they never equipped the 20% XP boost. Just goes to show that was probably a dumb design decision.

I really like Vinny's idea that this game was born out of another game breaking.

Never Dead...more like Never Play.

Seriously though, i thought it was Suda 51 joint for a second. Still not convinces that it's not. lol

Like...from a visual standpoint and even an aesthetic ideal, there's a lot that this game could have done right. It's so sad to see that it just didn't come together to form a fun experience. = /

Man that game looks really terrible. I was having trouble watching this until Brad became noticeably annoyed by playing this and Vinny was enjoying it.

i agree that having to compare something bad to appreciate something good is true. and you agree that collectibles are just busy work. so even though we live in two different worlds, we can still stretch our penises across the galaxy and have them meet in the middle and our penis heads can do a handshake and thats cool. and if your penis drizzles a little sperm out while they're shaking, thats ok. because we're MEN, and we've come to an agreement.

This would have been better, if every time you turned into a head, Limp Bizkit started playing.

Also the cut scenes should have played out depending on what condition your body is in at the time the scene starts. = more realistic.

Even though NeverDead is a bad game, I can't help but have some respect for it. I would rather a game try something new and fail rather than just be another iteration on the same old crap and be bland.

It's an in joke. Over the last few months Brad has been jokingly saying they should do a Never Dead quick look during I Love Monday's videos. I guess since Brad and Vinny were the only two in the office and there wasn't anything else to do they finally decided to quick look it. And I have to agree, it looks really bad. It seemed decent at first but that writing is something else.

I hate to say it, but it makes it easier to understand why developers are starting to build games with un-skippable tutorials that handhold you through the entire game from start to finish now. (and I really hate that trend)

I don’t know if it was just the way Brad kept running in circles and spinning the camera around, or if it’s a combination of the low framerate/contrast, but watching this Quick Look started making me motion sick, just like Vinny. That’s the main reason I stick to PC gaming now; the games are locked to 60fps. If it drops below 60, you can lower settings or upgrade your hardware.

And Brad really shouldn’t bother hunting for collectibles in games. They really are just there to extend the length of a game without any real benefit these days. In a year or two, will you really look back with fondness on your S-Rank of a game, or will you wonder why you wasted all that time running around for hours just to increase a number that has no meaning or worth?

Why were people clamouring for a quicklook of this for so long? This game is the opposite of a big deal.
