Quick Look: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

I'm still worried about the next Metroid's camera.  Camera's too close and not dynamic enough.

hard ninja wood + Futurama reference = amazing QL!

I wish this QL was in that ugly cave level, wonder how that looks.

I tried the demo but the camera was pretty poor - it even managed to put itself behind a fence at a couple of points so all I could see was a big plank of wood over the screen. Also, a guy in black jumping around super fast fighting other guys all in black at night seems a recipe for confusion.

Looks very easy compared to Ninja Gaiden on XBOX1. As far as I'm concerned they should have stopped making NG games after Ninja Gaiden Black because you can't beat that (although I have not tried the Sigma version of the first game). 
 
They should just have made this interactive CGI porn or something, I mean bouncy boob control with the six-axis, that's just crazy. They might as well admit that all you are doing is fighting your way through a horde of enemies to unlock more boobs because that's the truth. I'm not against boobs, but why camouflage your bouncy boob control game in an action game?

I played this on the 360 and it was basically a buggy, unfinished game. This doesn't look much better, frankly. 

I am not some gore fiend but this version of the game lacking that much gore is kinda irking me I am actually kinda surprised how different it looks without body parts flying everywhere while spewing blood like old faithful, I have to say its not good. The team option looks ok but holy shit at all the loading I mean damn and he said it had a forced install? Wouldn't want to see it not installed.

Ladies love the Hyabusa fat ninja staff. The fattest of the ninja staves.

Trophy Get!  I enjoyed the 360 version so I wont be buying this one.

Hmm, looks exactly like NG2 on the 360 did so I guess I have no real reason to buy this. As for the tone-down, it's actually understandable. While I enjoyed the gore in the original, it did feel somewhat excessive at certain points.

This game actually doesnt look too bad if you havent played the 360 version, after playing the demo there were some things i just found weird and out of place but i still felt as though i'd like to see all the new content since some of it seems pretty epic. (wtf is up with that buddah? & why is no questioning it?!) I'm glad you gradually get new stuff for the mission mode as you progress in the single player, i was quite worried that it'd be limited to co-op cause i always found the AI to be more of a hindrance if anything in spite of the fact the joint nipou was pretty awesome. 
 
I just hope above all else that Team Ninja actually get some balls and make something original (besides metroid other m) now that there are no other games of itagaki's to remake if i see DOA4: Sigma i'm gonna be pissed..

Ninja Gaiden actually wasnt too difficult on hard (with the exception of Alma, she's always a bitch) try Ninja Gaiden 2 (not sigma) on mentor which is meant to be the equivalent of hard for that game, if you make it past the first few levels props to you ;)

Agreed, the game does seem to chug when you use nipou and when too many limbs are severed (prolly due to the flashy effects & higher res textures) which is quite agravating  espicially  since that seems to happend quite often but it's best to just take that in stride and enjoy the new levels, boss's and boobs.
 
Good rent if you already played the original..

games like this are so much better with a fixed camera so you can focus on the action.  Just been playing on Conan today and it works so much better... All the actual fighting is better in Ninja Gaiden than in any other game but I wish they'd fix the camera.
Hopefully they'll fix it if they make NG3...  
Tomonobu Itagaki seems like a bit of an asshole so hope they manage to make a great game without him rather than all the really really good ones they made with him (we'll forget about the stupid ass beach ball games).

With all the laughs about the fat ninja staff I'm surprised Vinny didn't make any jokes about the guy's "magic missile".

God damn that ninja staff bit was funny. You can actually hear Ryan's face change when he says "I'm currently rocking a fat ninja..." and realizes exactly what he got himself into. I actually laughed out loud at work... Oops.

Man I love the sigma series! They take good games and make them even better, how can you complain? And to all the people  whining  about the blood, why don't you just go cut yourselves if you want more blood. ; )

The presence of 360 fanboys in here greatly disturbs me. You have essentially had this game for a year now; are you all really so pathetic that you have to come in here and come up with reasons to bash this updated version? ಠ_ಠ

I'm actually offended that they took out the blood.  The game's still rated M, and don't try to tell me it's for artistic reasons because these enemies were originally designed to be sacks of flesh, not robots made of purple mist.

Wait that came out wrong.

 Looks great, might pick this up soon.  I have a 360 but never got around to picking this up (missed out on it for 10$ once sold out >.<).  With all the extras and improvements, this looks like the better version in my eyes.  
 
Have too much gore ( God of War 3) people complain, have too little gore (NG2 Sigma) people complain.  Lose-lose situation.  To me, if it doesn't affect the game play I could care less--the blood adds nothing to me as the core gameplay feels intact.  
 
I'm actually very interested in the 30 co-op missions.  The quick look doesn't do NG2 Sigma justice since it barely shows any of the new stuff in the game that a proper review would.  Funny commentary as always though.

I would buy this for the new features if they hadn't taken out the gore and they had actually fixed the camera, which looks almost exactly the same.
 
I beat Sigma and NGII (eventually) and the camera worked alright once you got the hang of the gameplay but I really think there should be an option to pull the camera out and up to give you a little more of a bird's eye view of the action in a game like this. Getting attacked from offscreen and guessing at enemies' locations gets old fast.

I want the improvements from Sigma.  But I want gore.  FUUUUU  How am I supposed to decide which version to buy NOW?!
