Ayup; all the classic songs that show up here and there are tugging at my nostalgia strings in all the right ways. Not to mention that all the new music they make still manages to be just as catchy and memorable.

This seems like a fairly decent package. A lot more interesting than Wii Sports, though maybe lacking the marketability and simplicity.

This kinda sucks, would of prefered a new Wii Sports. Was thinking of getting a Wii U does it come with a motion plus controller?

Oh man that really sucks, I don't own a Wii so that just made it way more expensive. And it doesn't come with a normal controller aswel....So a Wii Plus remote and a pro controller on top of that really puts me off.

I'm sorry if this has been answered already, but is this shot off a screen? It's not a complaint but it looks a little weird. I understand if they do not have Wii U capture equipment yet.

Is it just me or is the videos not load\streaming? I only get a few minutes out in this and the ZombiU video.

@anypti: Same problem. I can't even download the full video, the download stops at around 10%.

The blank look on the Mii's faces as they spin around and become all leafy is hilarious.

This looks how I want all Nintendo games going on forward to look. Or as good as I want them to look. Use shaders, take advantage of the power you have! Make em pretty.

@patrickklepek I don't know it's fair to say that Nintendo game will always look good no matter what as long as they nail the aesthetics, especially now that we've had a few examples of when they do and do not take advantage of HD capabilities and all of the shiny graphical things they can do now. They need to use tech to the benefit of their aesthetic to keep up.

it's captured normally, the gamepad recording is what it is, but the direct console footage is direct.

Finally, a new machine that can hold its own graphically against this other competing machine that's 7 years old!

Seriously though, I don't think Nintendo consoles really can be held to the same generations as the rest of the stuff since they seem to just be technically about 6 years behind and then are just way off doing their own thing in other ways (which either works awesomely or is terrible).

Does anyone think that some of this stuff can help improve hand-eye coordination? I mean, some of the stuff shown in this, like the fruit tracing thing, and the whole block aspect on the New Super Mario Bros. U as a co-op partner. Oh, and man, even watching this, to me at least, was pretty fun; certainly the ones where they were chasing or searching for Brad. I don't know, I can see how it wouldn't be something some people look at from a distance and feel they should buy it when compared to Wii Sports, but to me personally, this looks a lot funner since I only found the tennis aspect of that fun, and once someone actually does see it in person if they were to get it as a gift for someone (like their kids), and don't readily know how to play most modern games well, they'd find this easy enough and probably fun enough.

I think I want this but I know if I bought one i'd play it once or twice with friends and then never again...

Eh. Looks fun for family game night. Seems technically competent. Not really much else for me to say. If this is your thing, then it looks decent enough.

Brad, hahaha. 9:00. Someone give Jeff the Wii controller-with-the-screen thing.

I think I count that as a Brad quick look death. He died trying to figure out what game to play and how to control it properly. The completely baffling solution of "let's play something else" was just icing on the cake. You've got one interesting though process while you play video games.

The presentation in this game is fan-fucking-tastic. All of the music sounds great, all of the visuals look clean and colorful, very reminiscent of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which is a huge positive. Aside from the Pikmin and Zelda minigames, everything looks pretty damn fun. Surprising that a mini-game collection is the one thing selling me on the successor to the Wii so far.

I thought you guys was going to make Wiiu quicklooks live? Have I missed it?

I think the non-8-bit version of the theme is better.

My daughter will love this so glad it comes with the console but I can see me playing this for no more than 2 minutes other than the Luigi Mansion game.

@Ursus_Veritas: Totally agree with you. I was thinking about picking a bundle up but what they're asking for it over here is a bit much.

Either way, I'll be curious to see the lay of the land once the Wii U has been out for a couple of months.
