Important note for anybody who might buy the game: the Wii version runs like garbage - constantly sub 20 fps. Pretty big bummer!

As for this game, as an adult I find this whole Skylanders thing really disgusting but I know that if this came out when I was a kid I would have gone fucking nuts over it. Also, amazing puns on the unit names. I love me a good pun.

I fail to see the point. Wouldn't it just be better to have an ingame character select menu instead of having to have all these plastic toys around?

If Jeff hadn't already formed an unhealthy relationship with this franchise, I'm pretty sure he would consider that whole area locking to specific toys disgusting. Not to mention the in-game ads for other toys.

That was my attempt at spamming F5 at 8:59 AM EDT then replying as fast as possible for the site quest and I still didn't get it.

So Skystone is basically the card battle game from FF8 but with fewer numbers? Weird.

Seems good for those who are interested or those who have bought the first one. I might wait until a sale to grab the core pack to get this but in no rush to get it as still needing to take on x-com & few other games.

@Jeff You can absolutely skip dialogue and cutscenes in Giants, man. I'm not sure how it's done in the 360/PS3 version, but I think it's Y/Triangle. Check the manual.

The ghost has one of the best voices ever. I want to hear more of it. Maybe I'll buy the game just for that.

Skystones is totally Tripple Triad from FF8.

@RudeCubes: Kinda, but Tetra Master had 8 arrows, TT had 4, much like this. Also, TM had a bigger board (way bigger) TT had a 3x3 board. Also, TT kicked ass, TM not so much.
