The "Cities" level on the Beck album is probably the best level in the game. I implore everyone to try it out.

I never understand quick-looking UGC levels on day one. It's going to take a week or three before anyone has a good enough handle on the editor to create anything really robust and awesome.

This game is pretty spectacular.

I really like the visual style of the game. I don't know why, but I smiled during the Quick Look just from the soft colors in the game. Sadly, no Vita nor Ps3, so I'll have to enjoy this from afar :(

I've been playing this game a bunch and really love it on my Vita. I've been checking in on user levels and they seem to be getting better already. The creation can be a little frustrating at times but I think overall it's really good. If you have a PS3 or Vita you should get this game. I haven't played the PS3 version yet but I'm sure it's just as great.

This game being 15 bucks is 10 bucks too much. Also, people need to stop making theme music levels, cause they sound nothing like what's intended.

I'm in love with Jim Guthrie though, I'll just get the soundtrack when it's eventually released.

I can't... see... this game. The colors are too similar or something. I need to tilt my screen way back to get a decent picture.

I think the last level they showed off looked very promising for what we can expect from users. This early on, I think that most people probably haven't even unlocked all of the stuff yet which can be frustrating in these games where you get an idea and you can't always immediately try it. I think $15 probably is a little too expensive though.

yea same here, everyone talked so highly of this game, and then i bought it and im kinda underwhelmed like its kinda boring :/

Edit: so after thinking about how long it has been since i played on my vita I went ahead and bought it, I was wrong, this game is pretty good. Like people are saying it is hard to explain but this game does not quick well at all it is way more fun to play.

You don't get near the full effect from this Quick Look, but the controls are damn near perfect, and the sound is a huge part of the game.

The game may look overly simplistic in video form, but playing it is very satisfying.

The superbrothers sword and sworcery levels are the best levels in this game at the moment.

Was dozing off early on, but sticking to the end I could definitely see playing the "campaign" through. Maybe not $15 tho, unless I was teaching kids about music sequencing or something.

That's probably my least favorite album in the game, it's just so overly boring music with really easy puzzles. Honestly, the whole game feels way too simple, so simple that it's hard to make a compelling song with the tools given to you. I don't regret the purchase, it's a wonderful little platformer for my vita, but it's less about music than I hoped.

This game seems cool. I wish it could come to Steam some time. =D

This looks awesome, but I wish you didn't have to make everything a single measure long, quantized to sixteenth notes, and diatonic.

Hmm, something about the mechanics of this and the level design seems incredibly basic. SHame, as the style of it seems quite relaxing and nice.

Lol at all the trolls. You can always count on you guys to provide some terrible comments.

For all the hype this game had this looks pretty meh. Simplistic and unsatisfying platforming and little music involvement or complexity compared to most other musically-oriented games. It's like a much simpler LittleBigPlanet with a music theme. I was happy that they decided to bring this to PSN, but I think I'll pass for now.

So far the music doesn't seem the add much. It sounds nice, but it doesn't really tie into the platforming as much as I wish it would. Maybe later stages incorporate more musical elements, but so far this just seems like a standard platformer.

this seems a little more technically tricky.. tricky disco... this is disco-tronic... AHEM! A little more tricky on a technical platforming level than a groovy beat based jam ought to be.

I wish they'd try some user levels that aren't shitty Nintendo remixes.

Maybe they'd see some more interesting stuff if they concentrated on the levels that are trying to be something more than a gimmick.

Dear Everyone Complaining About This Game,

Trust me, Sound Shapes is way more awesome than this Quick Look makes it seem. The game audio is way too low here and they spent way too much time in crummy user levels and the editor. Seriously, just take the plunge and get the game. It's amazing. It won't really click unless you've played it yourself, but you can also watch regular trailers for it and get a better taste of what it's like.

Yes, the platforming is super simplistic and usually incredibly easy, but it kind of puts you in this awesome trance where everything just clicks and you move through and the music and the platforming are lining up perfectly and everything is perfect and it all feels great. So yeah, just get it.
