The game itself, at least, in the first few levels that Jeff showed, is an exact re-creation of the game I played back in the 80s on my old 8088 PC.

Am I the only one that thinks they miss the point of this game?  (Then again, they do call it Neo, and they're older than me so in all likelihood they're more nostalgic for this than even me).  It seems some mechanics of the original are being shat upon for no good reason when this is supposed to be a remake.  It probably doesn't help that my favorite games to this day are fligth simulator 2.0, Thexder, and Chuck Yeager's Air Combat.

They shouldn't use any overlay...I don't get the point of it.  Do they think people won't get the idea it is a PSP game by them mentioning it five times?  Seriously why do they need that?

they've said before that the psp resolution is smaller than the video player windows resolution, so if they stretched it out to take up the entire video window it would looke worse than it looks on your psp, which could give people the wrong idea about the games graphics

Aw man.  It's probably one of the games I've been playing the most on my PSPgo.
Then along comes Jeff and Ryan to declare it a Bammer.

Never played the original, and from what I can tell, it's something I wouldn't have missed. The game looks monstrously boring. I prefer my shoot 'em ups to be a bit more exciting to watch and play.

This reminds me of Bangai-O Spirits for the DS, which was an AWESOME game.  But this looks very boring.

I'm surprised you guys didn't catch the old computer version.  It's cool they remade this but the problem is its exactly the same as the old version.  Nothing really new here, at least from the demo.  Check out this I found on you tube of the old ibm version.

Missed the point? What is the point? The point of most games is just to have fun, and they didn't get much of that out of this game.
