This actually made me curious. Might check it out.

I think it looks pretty fucking cool. Jeff seems dismissive, but I'm interested sure. The previous Warfighter games were fun and I like a shooter with group dynamics and more methodical pacing every once in a while.

I shouldn't be surprised, because I love almost all things Tom Clancy, and I especially loved G.R.A.W.; have been excited for this, but more recently I just haven't been thinking about it all that much, and now that I see this, it's getting me excited about it again. I guess I should get it.

I haven't played a Tom Clancy game since like Rainbow Six on the Dreamcast. Definitely picking this up. Shit is like Tenchu with MP5s.

One of these days there will be a Tom Clancy game where you actually play as the author himself, stamping your name on all the different video games forever. It's a third person shooter, of course, with persistent levelling

This game looks awfully mediocre.. a lot of scripting, too.

Ryan and Jeff Quicklooks are the best.

As generic as it appears, I am kind of into this.

Don't have much interest in this game but Jeff's snark about it on twitter seemed a bit silly to me. Hope this quick look is entertaining and not just 25 minutes of Jeff talking about how optic camo isn't "future" enough.

I don't think the us military would ever authorize the use of a gun called the Stoner 96.

I don't know what everyone's problem with this game is, but it looks pretty neat.

They did. The prototype was used during the War on Terror by some "specialized" troops.

This looks like a pretty solid follow up to the GRAW games which I was a big fan of. I think I'll pick it up.

Is it just me or does it look like they cranked the gamma in this game?

Also the fact that civilians make no noise and don't alert the entire camp when two dudes just drop down dead is dumb.

The only overtly dumbness of this game is the kinect crap, otherwise it looks a lot more interesting than I was anticipating...

Is that Steven Blum doing the mission briefing and giving you orders? The game can't be all bad then.

What about all this crazy shit is not "future" enough for Jeff? Magnetic Goggles? Sensor Grenades? Even active camo has only been in other games taking place in the future.

I'm liking this game a bit more than Jeff and Ryan, I guess it reminds me of RB-6 in some respects. And technology doesn't/isn't have to be very robust especially in conditions like a dustorm etc..

Indeed. It's getting pretty tired. I'm not advocating for a site or system where you're only allowed to say review the specific game types that you care about - but this is a Quick Look and should be more about just showing off the game, unbiased.

We have and do - but the military always slaps its own designation on the gun instead of the manufacturer branded one. Like "M1059A" or something.
