This is a pretty good looking game, especially for being on a console. Lots of little subtle touches. I like how the active cammo doesn't fully cloak you, which is a lot more realistic. Granted... it doesn't really make you all that invisible either lol.

I've actually been enjoying this game quite a bit. The gameplay feels as thoug they merged a lot of the elements I loved about GRAW with the a touch of some of the movement from Splinter Cell: Conviction. Graphics are great, and can't wait to see the PC version in action.

The story/voice acting could be a little less hokey, although I enjoy the kind of MGS 4 feel of the world. The multiplayer, however, has been outstanding so far.

This doesn't really seem like a ghost recon game. The ability to take tons of damage combined with the inability to control your squad, makes it seem like a straight forward run-and-gun game or a cover hopper. I have to agree the lack of feedback from the squad members is surprising, although if it was in the game, it would make the game even easier.

Loved GRAW 1 for Xbox 360. Felt atmospheric and cool. Not sure I like the Sci-Fi (however probable) part of this game.

The game seems a little on the easy side. For a seemingly stealth-focused game, the maps are quite linear, and it seems like you can always mark all of the targets at pretty much zero risk to yourself. The only reason Jeff dropped stealth is that he seems to be pretty impatient with that type of stealth mechanic of meticulously noting each guy.

The sync shot seems satisfying, but with so little deviations from the central path, it seems like you're always going to walk forward and have the 2-4 enemies in the area plainly presented to you, and then it's a matter of tagging them and taking them all out.

I normally like stealth games or stealth sections in games, but his was so goddamn mind numbingly boring. Including the action shooty parts, those were a snooze too.

And that is some incredibly advanced active camo tech that works on all armor/skin/surface/etc with no major power source too, while most of their other gear seems simply modern. Weird disconnect of technology mismatch.

Maybe I'm spoiled by my hot PC, but this game looks not so great visually. The framerate the shadows and lighting is also pretty bland, the bland textures...

Okay, none of that is anything but nitpicking, so I'll admit to sounding like a whiny bitch. I guess I just wanted something special for this game after loving the GRAW series and this thing looks as mediocre as it can possibly get. I'll probably still rent it, though, as I prefer slower-paced shooters and they are hard to come by.

Yeah, first, i really don't think ppl speak Portuguese in Zambia, that's more Angola and Mozambique, and then, the Portuguese they speak in Africa, doesn't sound like Brazillian Portuguese at all, it's basically Portugal's Portuguese with an African accent.

Same here,not sure why Jeff is surprised that it's not more future-like.Correct me if I'm wrong but I think all the tom clancy games have used near future weapons based off of real technology,it's not like they were about to stop doing that.The sync shot seems like it might make the game too easy but then again Jeff did only show off 1 or 2 levels.

Game seems okay though agreed that it is not future enough for me but the game is doing some good stuff with the UI & gunsmithing. Bringing something in from a previous bombcast, would love the floating text elements in a game like this to get the surly/sarcastic Clippy showing up to give you more information and/or entertainment.

A sneaky stealth camo game like this would be insanely amusing to get into one level where some solar flare or other plausible idea happened to turn off the active camo for a moment to have the player seeing ghost recon teams from all over the world all in the same vicinity on different missions, wave at the player's controlled character then all of them disappear to let the player finish the mission. Also if we are sending in the ghost recon teams in Africa or other parts, I'd love the soldiers to tell the command officer tha tthey are going to skip the mission to go after all the email spammers instead.

This game is actually pretty awesome. And for those who don't think it's future-y enough, it becomes more so later. There's a level towards the middle where you basically command a tiny mech.

one little negative remark from any of the crew and everyone has to get all defensive of the game

Man, seeing that "Clear" pop up at the end of each encounter really made me realize how games have gone downhill. Here we have a supposedly tactical third person shooter that's all stealthy and tries to build suspense and has cool setpieces with sneaking through sandstorms and stalking targets and silently backstabbing guards... But it's so very eager to tell you HEY, there aren't any enemies left, you can run to the next arena now, kthxbye!
 
Games shouldn't freaking do that. Don't tell me that there aren't any enemies left. Hell, stop having dedicated sections for fighting, and sections between them that are for walking and exposition. That  started getting stale five years ago, now it's beyond formulaic. What happened to action games that never let you be sure if there was going to be enemies around the next corner or not? Games that would trick you into thinking you had cleared an area, then shot you in the back as you kept moving on because you didn't take one last look around? Games where half the level wasn't designated as a non-combat area that will play out the exact same way every time you play it because only one thing is programmed to happen there, and it's not controlled by the player?

You're asking that someone who isn't in the core Giant Bomb crew take a look at all these games, because they were all already negatively biased toward this product due to the nature of their jobs. Even though having the crew only cover things they're genuinely interested in would mean significantly less content on this site, probably leading to its demise as they would barely be able to cover any games at all, the good news is that we already have you covered.
 
All you have to do is take a look at the many other video game websites available on the Internet, find one where one of the members specializes in the type of genre you would only like to see represented by someone who is passionate about it, and follow their coverage instead of Giant Bomb's. It's that easy!

Oh, I agree. Perhaps my response was worded a bit poorly. Tom Clancy games have been "dead," since the end of last generation. I meant that there's practically zero chance for a game like GR/GRIT to exist in today's market. You're right in that it's been that way for quite some time.

Game looks alright, I like that it is trying to do something new than the regular military shooter. Not just a rollarcoaster ride or overly scripted events. I just remember all those ridiculous trailers.
