Well now I have something to watch after work

The music during bombing run is fucking PUMPING.

Played the demo of this last week. Seemed pretty solid and I really enjoyed the music. As it is cheap on steam I will probably pick this up.

The "YEAH! YEAHH!" of Ryan combined with Brad's moaning is mind-frying.

Appropriately, the Bombing Run mode looks awesome :o

Downloading the demo off Steam now. Looks like a fun little game.

Because the world needs even more dual-joystick indie shooters.

Some of the sound effects are a little on the nose in their similarity to geometry wars...

Fuck you Activision, Bizzare creations were awesome!

Awesome of you guys to QL this puppy. I've been having a blast with it so far and the more exposure this game gets the better imo.

Also Brad, you might want to start using your bombs a bit :)

looks interesting

To be honest, at first sight I dismissed this as just another Geometry War clone; a style of game I have had my fill of.

But as the quicklook went on I found myself getting more and more interested in it. Some of the minor visual effects used are great and the scoring system seems well worked. I am downloading the demo now, it warrants a try at the very least.

Am I the only one that doesn't really care for these types of games? I'm NOT hating on them or anything, I'm sure they're well made games, just don't really care for em

@countinhallways: The scoring system is a bit more involved than other twin sticks, what with the combo system (that doesn't reset on death!) and the leveling up feeding into the combo/multiplier system. Bombs are strategic and also quite important to the combo/multiplier as well. Slo mo if used at the right times can get you huge bonuses score wise (2x for close calls and slo mo plus multiplier and combo added in, do the math lol).

Needless to say, the system is quite well thought out. And from one guy is quite amazing to say the least. Also, yes the music is awesome in the game. I just wish there was more of it than the 3 or 4 tracks there seems to be at the moment. I'm hoping they add some more game modes as DLC or something. I'd totally dig that.

Brad really didn't show the best parts of the game (not his fault mind you) sadly. While the basics of the game is to roll around and shoot everything trying to blow you up, the varied game modes (especially Rush for some reason, love it) and neat additions (not to mention just how cool the game looks) to the game really make it stand out to me.

Turkey actually isn't a particularly potent source of tryptophan. While it is among the foods with notable tryptophan content, it is towards the lower end of the spectrum and surpassed by most other meats.

Having a big problem with the distinction between things that will kill you and things that will give you points. I must admit it does look nice though. I think it would be too hard to reconcile it with Geometry Wars for me; not that it's all that similar but it's comparable enough that I'd rather play the ones I know.

Oh and Activision owning Geometry Wars makes me sad. They don't deserve it. That is clearly what the game industry is about, what people and companies deserve.

If you think it's impressive that only one guy made this game, you should take a look at UnEpic, a game entirely developed by one Spanish dude and definitely one of this year's best indie games :)

I'm not finding the title "W6V35" catchy, but it looks like it might be fun.

I wrote this off as just another Geometry Wars clone, but I guess it's not. Thanks for the Quicklook, guys, and thumbs up for saving it for the weekend.

I hope this comes to consoles.

I'm not a big fan of playing games like this, but I'm happy they exist. Really enjoyed Breaking Brad, too.

COOL STORY, BR--actually that was alright

Reminds me of a Lamasoft game. They're all clones at a basic level but they put in enough crazy to get away with it.

I doubt it'll play on my netbook but I like the look of it and the music is cool.

Hexagons are the future.
