I love how Brad not only reviewed this game, but also ran this TNT, and had NO IDEA about the Anniversary game type with the Halo 1 Pistol in it. How hard is it to do some simple research on the title?

EDIT: AND THEN he completely misses the point of the two different types of maps. It's an unprofessional level of unfamiliarity with a game that you reviewed!

That was kind of disappointing, but I felt like he got the overall idea of what CEA was offering.

That was a really fun TNT. And I gotta say, AC's multiplayer looks really neat.

@mastrbiggy: Oh yea, I have no problems with the review he gave, I totally agreed with it. I just think that it's crazy to me to spend all that time with the game and not have a basic understanding of what its offering.

Then again, no one in the chat seemed to call them out on any of the crazy half-truths they were spurting out, so maybe the Giant Bomb community just doesn't like Halo as much as I do. And also everyone in the GB community just accepts this from Brad now and wont even defend him from fanboy ranters like me. This is why I love this site.

Oh fuck yes. For some reason my brain wasn't even processing the information until I read your comment. Excellent stuff! These AC TNTs have been really entertaining to watch and I love that Ryan is such a proponent of a rather unique and off-beat MP mode. And kicking ass while he's at it too.

@Pudge: It happens a lot, especially for MP parts of games, so i guess people are starting to get used to it. Not that it makes your argument invalid.

Personally I don't put much stock in reviews anyway, which is why it doesn't really bother me as much on that front. But I can understand how annoying it can be when it concerns a game you care about. Christ the amount of false shit Ryan spewed about Brotherhoods MP. /rolleyes

Not to mention how wrong both Will and Ryan still are about some of the core aspects of the AC MP in both games. Completely oblivious about how stuns work and what kill bonuses you get.

The correct answer here would not be talking trash from the sidelines but showing yourself doing it better by the way.

Damn this community is going downhill fast. It's so hard to find the worthwhile stuff amongst all the trash recently. Growing pains I suppose. I really need to shake my bad comment and forum writing and reading habit soon. I'm just getting angry for no fucking reason.

@Milkman: He came in the middle in the 1st, last in the 2nd, first on the 3rd (by the stupidity of his opponent) and last of his team again in the 4th final match. No sorry that's nowhere near even decent AC play. I acknowledge that it's quite alright for someone running a show at the same time. But it's kind of plain bad play if you just look at it by itself (with 1 fluke).

Which is the reason I was surprised that any one actuary thought any of that was good play. "Owning" and "kicking ass" in AC MP is being a few thousand points above second place. (not coming last twice, middle, and one win, in 4 games)

How exactly were my comments even poor quality? All I did was point out my surprise at how any of this seemed to people like he was kicking ass, when it he getting owned most of the time.

Brad did fine. You have to realize there were people in there like me who at one time played Halo basically at a professional level. It's a 10 year old series of games with a huge and rabid following.

People who stuck with it all this time are going to be pretty damned good at it. They'll know the effectiveness of weapons, the tricks, the maps, the vehicles, etc. People relatively less familiar with it are going to have a harder time. Add to that the fact that everyone's gunning for the 'celebrity' of the group.

I do wish we got to play a round or two of anniversary-style but it was still tons of fun running around those old maps again and playing some Halo-ass Halo.

Yeah, I know it's the 'They don't have time to get good at games' argument, and I pull it out all the time on other games, but as a hardcore halo fan I get so pissed watching brad play lol. It's not his fault, and I don't even blame him, it's just so...frustrating.

That being said I watched it anyway.
