Not sure what people expected from Brad with Rust. It's a slow-starting game. You really can't just jump in and start killing people. And even if you do it's a complete waste of time, as the only people remotely vulnerable to a dude with a rock have nothing on them anyway.

Well, during a live stream, yes. Normally it is much better.

Watching some of the more popular Twitch streamers play with the public live proved that. When the metaphorical cameras are on the assholes come out. It doesn't matter what platform or game it is.

People think they're comedians, or that they are best friends with the person playing, or that it's a good time to get in some public trolling. They dial up the yelling, cursing, shit talking, homophobic remarks, racism, misogyny, etc. just because there's an audience.

The show is call Unprofessional Fridays, how do some of you not get the meaning behind that? Its them playing random shit, live, and not being prepared/professional about it. Thats always what the show has been

And no one complained when drew played 2, obviously, garbage games (even saying he had never played them before) and Vinny dug aimless in StarForge for 20 minutes. The brad hate during the stream and in these comments are unwarranted. Brad didn't represent a freaking alpha game to your liking? Boo hoo

I enjoyed watching Brad play Rust. It made me interested in the game, I had no idea what it was beforehand. I'd probably be just as lost as Brad in the early goings there, if not more. Also as far as I can tell, there wasn't much to do other than find stones, plus whatever advice he was being given, didn't appear to be very helpful.

And yeah, this is UPF, get over it. If it were a quick look, it would be much different.

I've seen some hardcore games in my day but nethack might take the cake.

Great show. Laughed until I cried during Star Forge, like most of Vinny's segments. And it was super interesting to hear about NetHack from someone who has put so much time into it.

Amazing Unprofessional Friday to start off the year with.

Re: Minecraft being infinite, it theoretically is. New chunks being generated are only limited by your computer's hardware so given a strong enough computer you could generate new terrain forever. In older versions on the PC it used to be if you get far enough out then errors would start being produced and the chunks would load all weird, but that was fixed. There's actually a guy who is playing on that old version and walking there while raising money for charity, it's called Far Lands or Bust. Worth giving a look.

Anyone figure out Air Control's theme song? I've definitely heard it before. I tried looking up the credits but I can't find them anywhere and I don't feel like spending $9.99 to download the game just to see them, haha.

Sad to see Ian go, a font of knowledge and a pretty cool chap. It'd be nice if he could pop back in if they started another Pathfinder or another D&D style thing, but I know not if that's at all likely. Still, all the best for the future and such!

I love how Brad played Rust like an easily startled deer.

O man one of the best shows in a while, the hilariously broken games are often the most entertaining to watch. Drews plane and shooting floating terrorists sim and Vinny's chainsawing dance party were just too good, I was mirroring Brad and Vinny's laughing-their-asses-off reactions. Whoever made that plane game is either a genius troll or is completely devoid of the ability to feel shame. And only Vinny could pull off, or even think of attempting, doing the worm with a chainsaw. Meanwhile, Jeff looked extra crabby and poker faced, I don't know how he does not laugh at some of that stuff, guess the man has just seen it all by now.

I love the part at around 1:26:00 when Brad is completely losing it over Vinny rocking out with that chainsaw. So contagious :D!

I wish they'd just play games they are interested in playing / showing others (like when Vinny played Lords of Shadow and then showed the ending to the others)

instead of devolving into "let's find the most broken ass early access game so we can have a laugh", which in short doses has value, but if that's all they do becomes pretty stale.

You need some real quality to go with the crap to make both stand out.
