E3 2011: Sonic Generations Trailer
I don't know... I kind of interested, but I think I'll hold off judgement until the game is actually out.
Still waiting to see Chemical Plant.Because they used My Chemical Romance's Nanananana as music for the trailer, or because that level is sort of cool?
This game reminds me of Sonic Unleashed in that it looks like it is only going to be half good. Guess which half? Hopefully "New" Sonic plays similar to Sonic Colors since that game was surprisingly decent. Seriously go rent Sonic Color it is actually kind of fun and not just for a 3D Sonic game.
This game might be alright if they took modern sonic out of it.Yeah, what sort of person would opt to play as modern Sonic? Its a terrible design and his gameplay looks like the same Adventure trash that killed the series.
I'm really getting a Sonic Unleashed 'half-good, half-bad' vibe from this.
Come on Sega. Colours was a huge step in the right direction. Don't mess up again so quickly.
I also don't like how wimpy 3D classic Sonic looks. Come on, even back then he an 'edge' to his design.

What is this, I don't even
Sonic Unleashed was "half-good, half-bad", but Modern Sonic is terrible? Does that mean you're actually singing the praise of the Werehog here?
I don't even dislike the post-Adventure redesign all that much. It's just that, y'know, the actual games haven't been very good.
Also, what was going on with the last few seconds of the trailer?
Why put in the really old jumping sound-effects? It just sounds weird now. I think they've finally gone loco and are just trying to throw in everything but the kitchen sink into this game in the hope that SOME portion of it will appeal to the market.
I'm not hopeful - it is the sonic franchise after all - but I will watch with interest at how this game turns out. Who knows, maybe, just maybe, it won't be awful. Which would be a very nice change of pace for the sonic franchise.
The bad parts were the werehog garbage.
Half of the game was werehog.
Is that so hard to understand?
I've learned it's best not to get excited about Sonic games anymore, no matter how much they say they're "going back to the roots". That phrase seems too common these days, and rarely accurate. :(
Yea those old sound effects are really unnerving. Is it weird that my favourite part of the Sonic Adventure Battle Series was the Streetboarding section. For some reason that appealed to 14 year old me.
