Anyway, looks like a mod that restores some content that was cut from the original game.

What?

Oh poop, I wait for this for five years, and then they decide to release it when Im 3000km from my copy of KOTOR2. The universe officially hates me.

M4-78 Enhancement Project is a currently work-in-progress wide-ranging expansion and alteration of the M4-78 Restoration, which was released in March 2008 by Darth Stoney, the Project Leader of the M4-78EP.

Originally, the entire planet M4-78 was cut from KOTOR2 due to time constraints. A respective article at Wookiepedia answers most of the questions about the planet's storyline and behind-the-scenes details on the developement process you may be wondering about (watch out for major spoilers though!).

In April 2008, Stoney made M4-78 Restoration available for download. Unfortunately, the amount of content recovered from the game's files that was possible to use in a restoration-oriented project, was highly limited. That is why Stoney decided to expand and alter the M4-78R.

Our goal is to make M4-78 a legitimate and integral part of KOTOR2. We hope that once M4-78EP is completed, the legendary Droid Planet will contain as much content as the rest of the game and will greatly prolong and enhance your KOTOR2 experience.

What will M4-78EP offer?

• New and extensive storyline (based on the original plot by Obsidian Ent.)
• Lots of new quests and characters to interact with
• Greater connection with the rest of the game and the Old Republic timeframe
• Custom BIK movies (check out the current version here)
• Everything that was good in the M4-78R and much more :)

Well, I wasn't going to before, but this along with the restored end game content has convinced me to reinstall KotOR II
 
EDIT: Damn. The mods don't seem to be compatible right now... Maybe I will wait for the other Restoration Project...

I reinstalled recently and just got to the half way point. >.< I do not want to restart. :(

Is this The Sith Lords Restoration Project or that separate droid planet mod? You seem to be conveying some mixed messages here.

Oh my God, those graphics look more dated than I'd even feared. I still wish I'd actually bought this game, because now I'd probably give it a shot.

Well, I actually downloaded the mod, but I don't know how to install it. Stupid...

I wish I had KOTOR 2 for the PC because I would definitely download this; sadly though, just like the original I have it for the Xbox.
