Because of one man? Did you honestly expect this game to please every single person? This is a large portion of what's wrong with gaming as a hobby. Some people forget that it's about themselves having fun, not other people.

Literally nothing happens by level 3. If he stopped playing it, then, you know, he just doesn't want to play an MMO.

The game does start off weak, I agree there.
It might depend on the class. I kind of liked the inquisitor early stuff.
That said, I mean, your first bonus mission, kill the rockworms. The stuff in between class missions can be hit or miss, but the class stuff was a blast.
Slave.
You don't know anything substantial about any MMO by level 3. At least give it until you are about 20-25% of the way to the level cap.
This. Even more dumb if the dude only got to level 3.Letting Brad influence your purchasing decision so much is pretty dumb.
wow that seems silly why would he do that? he must have really not liked the game, i on the other hand am at level 24 and still love the shit out of this game a whole lot more than WoW. just because brad stopped at level 3 doesn't mean it's a horrible game and should never be played it just means he personally didn't like it. just because someone else doesn't like a game doesn't mean you won't either and just because another person likes a game doesn't mean you will.

I really love the crew but I'm taking everything they say about this game with a grain of salt.
This. I respect the crew's opinions, but they've made it pretty clear they're not interested in where the Genere is right now, so it's no surprise they don't like this game.

I heard it's a big meh. Stick with WoW if you're gonna mmo.
I like it a lot better than WoW.
Not picking on you just using this as a place to vent my feelings on this.
Is this an American English thing? Because I feel like I've been hearing it a lot on Giantbomb lately and it just sounds wrong. It's more right? "I like it a lot more than WoW" "I like the other one more" If this is an American English thing, STOP IT!! It sounds stupid. If not, fuck this whole language.

Yes, it is an improper "American English thing".
English is a beautiful language if you try to learn how to use it properly...
British people make up retarded sayings all the time, we can too.
also Brad is terrible at video games

No. It's just improper grammar. It's like the fact that a lot of people like to say "I did good on the test" rather than "I did well on the test."

yeah, if he's only putting like 10 minutes into the game before deciding he doesn't like it then his opinion on any mmo isnt worth listening to.

i'm not even listening to anything they say about it. considering they dislike mmo's and star wars its not much of a stretch to figure out that they wont like this game.

I hope you don't have a Facebook account. It must drive you crazy.
Just keep in mind that the whole crew has a pretty tremendous anti-MMO bias. If you like MMO's and you like Star Wars and you want a really well designed MMO that has a lot of Star Wars in it, than you'll like this game. If there is something about MMO's that you inherently don't like, you probably won't like this.
Actually it's a Canadian-English thing@CL60 said:

what he said.
I'm liking it. It's KOTOR Online mostly. There is the story that can be played solo, or within a party, and some party quests. All the dialogue is given by voice. It's easy to think you're playing an rpg. It's nothing revolutionary in the gameplay, but it hides well the fact that it is an mmo, within the entrapings of a normal rpg.
If Brad really quit at level three i feel he didn't give the game a fair chance of showing what it is.
I'm going to put it down now: you can only properly judge the game if you've at least finished Tatooine. At this point, the game exits the extremely linear questing design and opens up fairly significantly. Moreover, it marks a significant amount of time spent delving into your class' questline, and by this point, most classes have most of their core mechanics fully developed. For reference, Tatooine is level 24-28.
I would not expect an insightful early game review from Brad in either case. This simply doesn't seem like his genre.
Not even that. They just don't like Star Wars as they've stated pretty bluntly. Jeff said in a "let me try to be objective for just one sentence" way that they made a competent version of that type of game, so if you're into competent MMOs that don't stray far from post WoW MMO conventions, go for it I guess.@Trilogy said:

Yeah. Jeffs comments on the Giantbomb from a while ago were pretty well informed. He clearly didn't like the game (Which made me sad.) but he also said "If you like Star wars, and MMOs, they made that game." And I love both those things.
