Steam
Concept »
A digital distribution service owned by Valve Corporation. Originally created to distribute Valve's own games, Steam has since become the de facto standard for digital distribution of PC games.
How many games do you have on your steam list?
@animedragon8711: I really like that you need more points to unlock DOTA 2 on that site than you do to unlock terraria. Seems legit.
69. I'd say 80% were calculated buys, pretty much exclusively on steam sales. The other 20 would be full-price buys and Bundle leftovers.
Relevant to say that my only computer is a Macbook, because otherwise Steam would have a lot more of my money.
11, five of which could be consolidated into two games making for a real number of 8, but then Ace Patrol, Railroads, Dota 2 and Half Life 2 can't run on my iMac and Civ V BARELY runs once other Civs come into the picture. So in my mind I really only have two games in my Steam list, Civ IV and Civ V.
Civilizations V Gods and Kings
Sid Meier's Civilization V
Sid Meiers Railroads
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol
Sid Meier's Civilization III: Complete Retail
Dota 2 - Hardware Survey
Half-Life 2
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Warlords
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword
Sid Meier's Civilization IV
298 in my Library.
Thanks to:
- Humble Bundle - For good packs of slightly older games
- Bundle Stars - For packs of much older games
- Greenmangaming - For giving credit on their site for new games (got $13 GMG credit for South Park along with 20% coupon)
- and of course STEAM - for hosting it all
75, probably 80 once the dust settles on the last day of the steam sale. Apparently I'm not as bad as I thought compared to my GB peers.
84 for myself. Have evaluated my buying habits in the past year and am alot better at not buying things during sales unless I intend to play them right away. Too many games I will never play.
374 games, and for a bonus, 346 pieces of dlc. I'm not really sure how much of this is because of humble bundles anymore, too many sales on places like Amazon or Green Man Gaming. However, I guess you gotta go big or go home. I went home because at a certain point you just gotta stop!!
253. Thank you very much.
Happy to say that after the Steam sale that number's only risen by two (255)
8, though one of them is currently unplayable for me since I don't own a PC. It was a free copy so I decided to snag it just in case since I enjoyed the demo at PAX.
I'm much more of a console player than a Mac player, so I haven't actually completed any of them. Closest I've gotten is Super Meat Boy, where I'm about hallway through. I should beat that and get to the others at some point...
Also, it kinda makes me feel better about myself that my backlog across 4 consoles isn't as high as some of yours on PC alone XD I can finish it!
Both more than I'll ever buy and more than I'll ever play for a sufficient amount of time. But buying games is my thing to do when I feel like I have too much money., which I don't in reality and I'm fully aware that I need to do something about my spending habits.
