Super Smash Bros. Review
Super Smash Bros. is a 2D Fighting game for Nintendo 64 Released in 1999 which puts the largest Names in Nintendo History to fight it out to see who takes all. There is a roster of 8 fighters and 4 Hidden fighters witch at first seems lacking but has the size just right. From Link to Donkey Kong Each Fighter has their own special moves and feel to the way they move giving a sense of Diversity in the cast. There is only one pair of clones Mario and Luigi witch is to be expected with subtle changes that help them feel different. JigglyPuff……….. What more can I say, well she Gives Dan from Street fighter a run for Worst everrrrrr! With a sleep attack that is impossible to hit with and a sing attack that just gives a free hit Jigglypuff is truly broken.
Just under the nostalgia Driven game play the game just leaves you wanting more. In the games entirety it can be finished in just 4 Hours. Stages from Super Mario to Star fox and Kirby’s Dreamland each represents like you would expect form the franchise but they are also quite plain only having small platforms over the main stage. Samus’s Level stands out with Lava Rising ever minute or so to cover most the Stage brings a tactical feel to the fighting you will need to survive.
But with all that said this is a Classic Nintendo party game meant to have 4 people in a room playing against each other for the best game play experience. Not only is this game viewed as one of the best of its time it is also still played to this day at select fighting game tournaments.
So if you want to play this game grab a few friends and some beer for a night of gaming fun.
