An energy drink and achievements. Obviously taking a leaf out of the GB team's book.
Runnin’ rings around all them molasses-slow dummies out there on the battle- field is thirsty frickin’ work. But when it comes to quenchin’ that thirst, only one thermonuclear thirst detonator packs all the “Atomic Punch” you’ll ever need. Bonk! is fulla radiation, which as we all know is pretty great for givin’ people superpowers. Just one can’ll blast ya into a few-second rush of radioactive energy so powerful you’ll be dodgin’ bullets like they ain’t even there! Note: Bonk! contains several hundred times the daily recommended allowance of sugar. After the beneficial effects of the radiation wear off, drinkers have reported experiencing feelings of lethargy that can last several seconds. Reading this sentence absolves Bonk! of any liability for killing sprees inspired by or deaths resulting from the ingestion of Bonk! Enjoy Bonk! responsibly… Or by the case!
Is that double payload map I see in the background? Nice!

Thanks for posting this. I was trying to update my original thread on this and changing the title to Wednesday but for some reason you can't change thread titles.

Anyway this looks cool but it wasn't very well explained. All I understand is that you get a short burst of speed followed by a period of slowdown.

I got that same impression. Some are saying that this will make bullets dodge the scout(or the other way around) for a few seconds followed by a slowdown. In either case, I am more excited about that payload map shown in the background. That looks interesting, maybe it will be a more official version of wacky races? Or perhaps the karts will move in different directions? This will be very intriguing.

Now this I will gladly trade for the pistol. But I'm more interested in the double payload in the background.

Also looks like this might be a sort of buff against the sentry. The "miss" icons above the scout's head indicate that he becomes invulnerable to some forms of bullets when under the influence of the drink.
I'm hoping that the drink doesn't last too long, as it could effectively neutralize the usefullness of some sentry locations.

I think the map in the background might be for a new gameplay type - payload race

I get the impression this is a buff to use against Natascha-using-Heavy-players and sentry guns that'll give you that edge to bypass them. First thing I thought of was the Flash from DC Comics when I saw that blurr effect surrounding the Scout. I like the fact it will cause the Scout to be slower once the effect ends though, seems like a very good combination pros and cons to it.

As for the map in the background I'm gonna say its a new game mode or twist to the current payload mode. Both teams going head to head pushing their carts will be interesting and definately reduce the sentry gun camping that payload maps suffer from I think.

Has there been any word about new maps? While that payload does look awesome (I don't think it is double, by the way, there are only tracks on one side) I'm not getting my hopes up for any new maps this update. I was under the impression that Valve had stated they aren't adding anything but class content for a while. Also, the powerup looks like it will allow you to dodge bullets, so it's probably effective for getting past sentrys.

I don't get it, is this a thing on the map or a replacement for the pistol?
