I'm not sure if this will qualify as YouTube spam, but I was checking out trailers today and stumbled upon this newest trailer starring Robin Williams and his daughter Zelda. It's kind of awesome Nintendo recognized that he's a pretty big Zelda fan and used him (and his epic goddamn beard) to promote the game. If anyone can sell me on the 3DS, it's a fatherly Robin Williams.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Robin Williams stars in the latest Ocarina of Time 3D Trailer
Robin Williams is one of my favorite dramatic actors but also one of my least favorite comedians.redditor.
@Dany: @DeeGee: I didn't know that and Zelda is just a name, why such a random thing would be common knowledge is beyond me :SI'm just as puzzled as you are to be honest. I didn't know this and I certainly don't think this is common knowledge at all for anyone that doesn't care for this man's life history. There's a difference between something being commonly known for years and something that got documented years ago.
Robin Williams is the man. He is certainly someone I have a lot of respect for. And hope nothing but the best for him and his career.
Very sweet. Plus nice to see a 'mature' commercial.
Though there was definitely something slightly...sad about it. Dunno what. Maybe seeing Robin Williams look kinda old? It just felt like he was reminiscing over life or something. Probably my vivid imagination.

I still can't wrap my mind around Robin Williams being a bigger Legend of Zelda fan than anyone on this site.
Also a HUGE Battlefield fan apparently. Hopefully they'll hire him for a Battlefield 3 commercial as well.

Surprisingly awesome ad. I remember back when Robin Williams was sniping fools in Battlefield 2.

Now THIS is news to me. Of the classes, I'd expect him to play sniper. And it's not just cause of the natural ghillie mask protruding from his face.
Robin Williams is a gamer and has been for a long time. My best friend played Gauntlet with him (by complete chance - Williams walked up to his machine as he was already engaged in a dungeon) in Hawaii International Airport. Dude was wearing a purple beret and a grey trenchcoat. My buddy told me he kept doing the voice of the narrator ("Elf needs food badly!" and such) and made quips the whole time.
Is it wrong that his smile makes me feel all warm and gooey on the inside? His daughter has the exact same smile. Warm fuzzies all around!!
Loved that ad. It's sweet, it has Robin Williams in it, it has an epic beard in it...
