The tenth game in the Tony Hawk series, RIDE featured the use of a newly conceived skateboard peripheral in an attempt, by Activision, to reboot the series.
I don't know anybody who played a Tony Hawk game expecting or even wanting a realistic skating experience. The later Tony Hawk games seemed to fail because they put more emphasis on trying to make the game funny than making it fun and that just did not work.
maybe what i read was in reference to this comment.
Q: What are you working on now? Hawk: We’re working on a new type of game, and I’ve been even more involved in this one than I have been in the last five games. It’s a real departure for us. It’s a whole new direction for us. And it’s going to be way more realistic and way more interactive. I’m really proud of it. I can’t tell you much more about it, except that it will come out in the fall 2009.
According to rumour its coming with some sort of motion board aswell. If they nail that it could be cool i guess. Then again, you could just skate for real.
I totally cant believe GB has been here now for over a year, and Ive been here since day one. I feel old.(This threads date just reminded me of this, and yes TH: Ride is terrible)
