E3 2013: Rub Your Snorlax in Pokemon X/Y

Looks great, but dear lord so many gimmicks

NO ONE TOLD ME THERE WOULD BE A NEW TYPE introduced specifically so that Dragon types would have a counter in competitive play other than different Dragon types.

Pokemon X/Y? Sounds like some weird gender confusion thing going on. Do pokemons even have sex?

'bout time someone put them drag'ns in their place. Having a specific type for all of those pink, bouncy and/or fluffy pokemon that's been around through the years make a lot of sense, at least that's where I see them going with this.

I did not enjoy rubbing my dream eaters in Dream Drop Distance and I'm not sold on doing it here, the more optional this is the better.

I like the looks of this, but I wonder how they'll daisy chain this to the previous games to make sure you can't catch 'em all without owning six other carts.

The last pokemon game I bought was Yellow. :/

I played pokemon up to Black, never straying from the main games. Then I played the 3DS Mystery Dungeon and I think it pretty much instantly cured any remaining 'need' I had for more mainline pokemon.

If Pokemon Conquest hadn't had that wierd Japanese history thing, I think it looked like it might have been the game I actually want, which is basically pokemon Tactics.

The only reason I'd come back to X/Y at this point is if they turn out to have some actually significant new mechanics. A new type and face rubbing technology is not gonna be enough.

Might have to purchase a 3DS for this

Well...that sure looks like a Pokemon game done in the style of Dragon Quest IX.

In other news, I'm still not interested in a new Pokemon game. It just hasn't had the magic of the Game Boy games since Silver/Gold.

Also...Fairy type? That's the most retarded thing I've heard. And the Pokemon voices for the pet thing sound like Babysitting Mama.

Why would they make the starter water-type look like shit? Everyone knows water is the best one to pick, because then you can teach it Ice Beam and fuck Gary up!

@dark_lord_spam: I quite like the water starter. That said, all three of the starters look kinda odd to me. I think the Diamond/Pearl starters were my favourite designs. Or perhaps Gold/Silver.

Only the battle animation excites me enough to rub my snorlax. Wait...

You'd think if Jigglypuff has been a Fairy type all along Professor Tree might have identified it a lot sooner.

I was thinking it was more like x,y,z, the coordinates in a 3d space. But there's no Z so idk, thats my guess though.

You know that's exactly what they're going to name the next one they release which is a combination of X and Y, Pokemon Emerald style.
