That's because this is a port of the original games as they were released running on new hardware, whereas Halo Anniversary is map and texture data running on a modern engine.

Kind of like a map pack to Halo: Reach rather than a port.

Maybe I'm one of the few people who likes ico more than sotc--I just love the world of ico and the wordless intimacy between the boy and the girl. Regardless, this looks to be a sweet collection.

I ashamedly admit to never playing ICO, i played SOTC and loved it so I pre-ordered this collection on Amazon for £27.99 for the collection.
 
My japanese is non exsistent but that trailer looked like they were selling these games seperately and for 3,980 Yen each which is just over £30 each, At 2:08 in the trailer they show 2 different games boxes with a release date and price so it seemed like they were selling them seperately which is a huge rip off to their home nation.

SoTC is one of my favorite games of all time. So pumped for this and ICO on one disk.

I never played either(cant remember why) so I am very excited for this release.

Man, this is going to be so awesome, I don't know how I'll feel with the improved frame rate in SoTC though - I loved the slow down of the frame rate, made it feel so much more epic...

Both of these games still look phenomenal. It just goes to show how far great art direction and animation can get you.

Um... yes! I owned both but never beat either. Can't wait for the opportunity to earn back some gamer cred, in HD!

The differences don't seem that major. Are they just optimizing everything to 1080p or are they doing high-resolution textures too? Better particles? If all they're doing is widening the corridors and without adding more lanes, I wouldn't be interested in this.

I'll probably miss the shitty framerate of SotC a little bit.

The Ico theme is still as epic as ever. It brings goosebumps only thinking about it.

If they are both in at least 720p at 60FPS, that's enough for me.

Nope, both games in the same package. Japan they are selling them separately, but not in the states.

The Narrator alone sold me on this.

OH I forgot this was PS3 exclusive. I'm thinkin of Kojima's Xbox HD re-releases.

Thinkin about all the giant empty smokey bleached-out temples in Shadow o the Collossus; that was a REALLY unique game. It was an empty world with no words at all, and I actually love it!

Doesn't look that far improved, but seeing as how it's running at 24-30 FPS on the GB player, I'm going to go ahead and not make any judgements.

Oh, some of the greatest games of all time are returning in HD? I think I'll bite!

I never thought the framerate in SotC was an issue at all considering how amazing that game was, any slight drops in FPS is completely excused. Can't wait to play this gem again in HD and I'm really looking forward to finally playing Ico.

Been waiting for an excuse to a) replay SOTC and b) buy it first-hand, since it's one of my favourite games ever. This is perfect.

I love SOTC, played ICO after I got my HD TV and it was soooo tough to play that when I could barely make anything out.  So I am super happy for this!

I am very excited about these. Mainly SOTC - not so much ICO. I never had chance to play them first time around and I have been waiting for these to come out. The framerate increase does look quite slick.
