Ugh...  Looks shitty.  They should have done a proper remake.  The things they changed take away to much from what make the original awesome.  But what do you expect from a chop shop dev team.
 
Not to mention the main reason the first was so big.  The movie! Golden Eye had just come out, and everyone was into it.  People don't even like Bond that much anymore.  I know I don't.  
 
Definitely passing on this one.  My friends and I even got together last weekend to mod the original ROM.  Coming along nicely so far.   We're all pretty urked about them making a shittier version of GE, just to get some money. 
 
When they could have just put out a proper remake and made it big.  They are completely killing prime pedigree.

Probably will stay away from this game but in a way glad it's back.

Only reason I swallowed Perfect Dark was for the HD treatment... oh and also the fact that they didn't change the appearance of the MAIN CHARACTER (I know why they did that in Goldeneye, I just don't give a flying toss though)!

This looks horrible.

I can't believe you people are saying this game looks ugly. The gun and characters look really nice and the environments look decently detailed. The whole thing looks like it will be a good shooter, and yet you people are already dismissing it.

This game looks mediocre as hell, but people need to get their fucking eyes checked if they think it's Dreamcast graphics or the same as the original.
 
Plug your DCs and N64s back in people, and watch as your idealized memories crumble.

2. Daniel Craig is not Pierce Brosnan.
3. Looks like ass, and probably controls the same.
 
If you want a modern Goldeneye, play perfect dark zero for the XBOX 360.

I can't understand when most games developed by nintendo look so good, like super mario galaxy, and every other developer's game's graphics are mediocre. 
Anyways, this game does nothing for me. Seems like the wii is never going to get a shooter besides the metroid prime series.

I don't think people realize exactly how many good shooters the Wii has.

I must admit, this looks more promising than the first bit of news released about the remake. I agree with some of the people in here, about splitscreen. This generation of consoles has murdered multi-player gaming. 
 
They replaced it with online gaming, which is pretty much like playing against A.I. Either nobody talks over their mic or you end up muting them because their annoying, or rude, or both.  I would much rather sit next to someone and play against them over sitting by myself and playing against them online.  It's much more fun/sociable when you're playing local multi-player. And I wish more game developers would take this into account.

The amount of shady nostalgia exploitation that is going on here disgusts me. But I guess if you are a person who only owns a wii and is into First Person Shooters (so like, 2 people), this might be worth getting?
