Someone , somewhere, green-lit this. Why has that person not ben fired yet. I am interested in the game, but the marketing so far is utter crap!! I feel insulted as a gamer as to how low-brow they are taking it.

The marketing sucks but I like the demo. I can forgive it for being a shameless God of War clone if it turns out to be a good God of War clone. Have to wait and see, either way I'm not making any judgments based on the perplexing work of this advertising agency.

The sad thing about this is that every time EA does something fun or cool like this video they gotta go and do at least two corporate evil empire things like their stupid pre-order rip offs or cutting content from a game to be paid DLC later. To make sure we don't start to like them too much of course.

Yes, it's a stupid trailer for a brain dead clone game.  But WTF does God have to do with ti?  I hate to be a buzz kill for you but Christmas is not a Christian holiday.  Christ was born in the spring.  Santa Clause, the tree, the raindeer all come from Germanic and other pagan rituals. Christmas was a just Chruch's attempt to hijack pre-existing pagan holidays. I can't believe that after putting so much effort into creating such a serious tone around the game they came out with this. It tramples over the serious atmosphere that their huge marketing campaign tried to set and did it in a very unfunny way.

I need another shot.. 

Did EA really have to hire the old Acclaim's marketing department to work on this game?

Christmas isn't a Christian holiday. Compare the time you spend on a prayer to the time you spend buying gifts, decorating your house, putting stuff under a symbolic tree, and putting up with some Santa mythology. 
 
I think that pretty much tells you it's not a Christian holiday. Easter is more Christian.

LOL, so even if the purpose the holiday is none to be historically incorrect, which it is, it's still a Christian holiday.  WOW, face it's a pagan holiday with Christian window dressing.  You can pretend all you want but the fact is most of the traditions (the tree, stocking stuffing, present exchange, etc) pre-date Christianity.  If anything Christmas has become more like it's pagan roots in the last 100 years.  You can spend an entire Christmas season without ever seeing a baby Jesus, the manger, etc all season. But you can't throw stick without hitting Santa, a Christmas tree, wreaths, etc. The holiday is so soaked in pagan symbolism and rituals that facade of Christianity is almost been erased from the holiday.  So yes, I think you can enjoy the holiday and not subscribe to your fairy tales. "

The marketing for this game has all been pretty awful. Time to put the team on another game or axe them altogether--they've generated press, but none of it's good.

Lol, in my book this game just isnt blasphemous enough!!   I want the Judah kiss of death, that makes peoples head explode, or St Marys screams of woe, that sends all enemies into the air for perfect combos, I want a Jesus Christ superstar overkill, where he comes slamming down into the ground on a cross and does an enemy clear move with blood spraying from his hands.  NOW THAT IS BADASS. 
 
I dont care if its a God of War clone, Christian Mythology is better than Greek Mythology ANYDAY

I liked the demo, but with GOW III coming in March, I think I am going to hold off. I don't want to shoot my character-action game wad too soon. And about this whole religious argument going on, I'm an atheist, but I still have a good time during XMas. I love the gift giving and the togetherness and all that good stuff that comes along with it. So, who gives a fuck where it came from or who took whos tradition and all that shit...
