This video made me feel better about my video game and media collecting. It'll be many years before it's gotten this bad for me.

Well, it's his job, I think it's different if it's your hobby.

Anyway...I would love to sort this stuff.
I would go library style shelves on every wall and one double sided shelf in the middle. The consoles and accessoires in stackable boxes for the garage or something.

Wow, now that is a ton of video games, and here I thought my 360 collection was big! Awesome video Jeff, this along with the Jar videos are always fun to watch.

Thanks for contributing!

Do a Hyperdimension Neptunia Endurance Run. That's probably the only way that game will ever get played.

This is now my favourite thing. Please, make more of these.

If those Amigas ever get dusted off for a vid, then please dig out Nebulous, Stock Car Racer, Shadow of the Beast and Speedball 2. Anyone who wonders what Nebulous was like can download a free version for the PC called Tower Toppler.

Great stuff Jeff!

It's his job to know about all these games. I guess he could get rid of them after a while, but you also want to be able to go back to some. Wouldn't want to be in that position tbh.

@Phatmac: More like an awesome episode.

LOVED the tray of old c64 games.

I recently went through a video game Cleansing if you will where I dug out all my ancient systems, games, accessories and the like and had a huge eBay blowout. I was very selective with the few items I kept and regained a room in my home. I was time...

Hahah put the youtube subtitles on this video.

Wrong Jeff, the dual analog pad came out in the US, I had one. It wasn't until MGS1 came out that they released a "Dual Shock." I was really annoyed I needed to get one to experience all of the cool tactile feedback for that game, like the feeling of a Hind-D taking off, or Psycho Mantis' ability to move the controller WITH HIS MIND, which was wild at the time.

Totally worth it, though.

Jeff's boxes upon boxes of games is why I love Steam. But I'm not a packrat, so I don't get satisfaction from holding onto things that have far outlived their purpose.

hyperdimension neptunia 2 ql go!

Posted by Sammo21

You could easily pull all that stuff in that room with some shelves and nice/large bookshelves.

Posted by Halberdierv2

um just wondering, can we buy the extra copies of games off you?

Posted by super_machine

Jeff could have the most epic garage sale.

Next on Hoarders.

Posted by raikoh05

get rid of all your sports games! you aint gonna play them!

Posted by scottygrayskull

Amazing stuff Jeff, but this is exactly the reason why I stopped collecting gaming stuff. Just... so much stuff that will just forever sit in boxes collecting dust. It was driving me crazy. But still, thank you for the window into your collection, you have a lot of really cool stuff. :)

This is like a lost episode of hoarders. Also Jeff is right Getting Up: Contents under pressure was a great game

Jeff should hold a raffle.

Posted by CrimsonJester

Some gaming sights give away all the cool developer/marketing things, Jeff takes it all home.

Posted by Dezztroy

Oh man, Auto Assault. I loved that game.

Edited by Max_Cherry

@RobotHamster: You should have ended with Jeff saying "and this is only like 60% tops "... Other than that Awesome.

Yeah, do a raffle or an auction and give proceeds to Child's Play or another related charity.

Thanks for posting Jeff. The only reason I want to get a house (my wife would disagree) is so I can have more room for my video games. The 2-bedroom apartment is not cutting it when Portland has so many retro-game stores. And then there is the Portland Retro Expo that gets really dangerous.

Why do so many people mention hoarders every time someone has a large collection of something? Until Jeff can't go to the bathroom or use his kitchen because of video-game game stuff, I think he will be fine. Have you seen what those people's houses actually look like?

Posted by MachoFantastico

Holy cow Jeff! I couldn't keep all that, I usually have to sell my games after a few months if I'm finished with them.

Still, pretty cool collection.

Posted by Sveppi

Jesus Jeff.. You have tens, if not hundreds, of thousands dollars worth of video game stuff.

Edited by Blargonaut

@NeoAthanasius: Because this is how it starts. Jeff, seriously man. You need to read the book "Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shu" by Karen Kingston. I know you can't love or care about all that stuff.

Really, until he is stacking dead cats, he just has alot of shit.

Also a Spike trophy broken and misspelled. Yeah that's about right.

No, Jeff. The only thing to do is listen to music. The aural euphoria of cough medicine is rivaled only by LSD.

edit: then again it does enhance nostalgia. Ok, I submit. Digging through boxes is a totally viable activity on DXM.

Why the hell am I sick and why am I watching Jeff clean up his shit?

Posted by ozhossen

@mohawk, because you love him.

Posted by Aarny91

That's a lot of shit.
