Haha, that's just the offline helper you get since you can't play offline portion online. Offline is meant to ease you into the mechanics more than anything (though the final boss is unique for both offline and online. Online actually gets more bosses you'd never encounter offline since they are hard to kill.)   It's 4 player co-op online for the meat of the game. "
What happened to the Felynes?  At first I thought it was just wearing funny armour, but that's the things head!  Seems odd to have replaced the mascot character, but as long as they don't make that damned annoying sound anymore.
 
I wasn't particularly excited about this even though I've got into Monster Hunter much more lately, I feel it's something that's better suited to a portable system.  But GAME UK have lowered the price of the special edition, and now it's really impossible to pass up.
 
I still maintain that the series has it's flaws, and certain aspects that could be hugely improved though.

I can't help but feel that a ps3 or 360 release with decent graphics would be recieved way better.

On Giantbomb, it would. But I have a feeling they put on Wii to have more than Giantbomb to be excited about.

I have never played a monster hunter game. I've seen them and moved on past mildly interested, but this is enough for me to want to pick this up. The monster's look pretty boss. I'll feel bad killing them, but it'll be fun!

how much wiimotion is in this game? Wii motion adds nothing to games, only subtracts, but this game seems to have a major demon souls style vibe in the gameplay and I'm very interested in it.
 
 
(for reference, even the tiny amount of wiimotion in no more heros bothered me)

They didn't even bother adding motion control anything into this game. But I guess for you, that's a good thing.

At the time this game started development, the PS3 was flopping in sales everywhere, and Nintendo took advantage of it.

I'd buy it if it has a targeting system... but yea... missing every slow-ass attack i throw is not worth my time. Thank god i played the demo first.
