Persona 3 Portable Walkthrough

Horrible voice-over. Either he needs to work on his pronunciation, or they need better equipment. Probably getting a popscreen would be useful too.
 
He might have a slight lisp too. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

I can't believe that I am going to buy Persona 3 for a third freaking time.  Looks pretty sweet.

I'm gonna buy a PSP because of this!

Summoning personas by shooting himself in the head, I might just be tempted to purchase this.

Looks like that's another 150 hours spent playing Persona 3.

Hm... Looks rough compared to the PS2 version. But then again I guess it's not meant to be stretched out into a big screen.
 
Too bad they took out the roaming aspects and just have people as icons or illustrations. Kinda takes out of the experience if you ask me.
 
Also, I don't understand who you'd hook up if you play a chick. There's that one senpai, but Junpei shouldn't be selectable due to story, and that elementary kid is too young. Playing the dude seems like the right way to go (Yukari and Mitsuru are awesome anyways).
 
I guess the fixes and updates to the P3 and P4 systems might be worth while for those who didn't play it before.

Personally, I dumped 120 hours into the main campaign, and another 30 into "The Answer". For me, the shortcomings became too much of a hindrance. Persona 4 was much better, IMO.
 
And why is P3 getting 3 releases (original, FES, PSP), and P4 is all but forgotten?

This is going to be my first shin megami tensei game, sweet.

This is too little and too soon. Seriously, I was ready to evoker myself by hour 90 in FES. Some people are going to play through the same campaign for the third time now and that's just baffling to me.

This reminds me.  I still need to finish up FES.  Both the Journey so I can actually see the Aeon S.Link, as well as the Answer.

Definitely picking this up just to give the new highest difficulty a shot. Cool to see the P4 battle system improvements rolled in.

Why's it 2D? That's the one aspect I find a bit off-putting. That, and the fact that the battle parts came later in the video, but that one's not directly related to the game.

God I can't wait for this game.

This was all fine and good but what I want to see is the changes where you are playing as the girl. That is the reason why I'm getting this.

Is that the same dude with a lisp that was showing off Persona 1 psp to Vinny and Jeff? I think it was at E3

Well, this certainly reveals why RPGamer picked PES 3 over 4 as a genre defining title.  Like any great sequel should, 4 improved on the foundation.

is there a save anywhere function?
 i put down P3 twice now, both times 60+ hrs in, because i lost 2 hrs worth of progress without trekking back to save it. yea i know, i just suck. now with this on the PSP, i can already see myself repeating this awful cycle. 
 

I'm assuming they cut all the anime cutscenes out which is a bummer. And the 3d models seem terribly 'blocky'.
 
dammit, if only they had added all these new features to FES, this game would have been as good as P4

2D exploration outside of Tartarus is an excellent idea. There's nothing more annoying than having to run around from store to store or character to character.

i am interested in this game, maybe i will get it! the idea of the tower though just sounds ok...

You can control your teammates?
 
That would almost be a selling point in itself if I had a PSP.

I'm bummed about the lack of the cutscenes (both in engine and anime style) in this but the battle improvements from P4 have me excited to go through it again espcially with the new Social Links the female main character will have.
