I like it, I wouldn't consider getting a PSP-3000 if I didn't already have a PSP and some UMDs.  For new customers, I think it's really a no-brainer.  It's a better looking device, the screen (while smaller) is better looking, and the onboard memory is nice.   
 
For those like me that have some UMDs, it's still not a big deal.  I don't have much I play regularly on the PSP as of right now, and the future is mostly going to digital downloads.  That said, I just can't afford $250 this second.  If it were $199 I'd be all over it, but that extra $50 makes a difference to me

I paid $250 for my PSP-1001 in 2005 so it's all a matter of how much you want it. I do agree however that $250 today 4 years later is a bit much even though it's a new and smaller version. It should be $200 and they should lower the PSP-3000 to $150 IMO. 
 
Not that I really care, I play maybe 1-2 games a year if that on my PSP and NDS combine. My gaming time is like 60 % 360, 20 % PC, 15 % PS2 and 5% PSP+NDS combined. So doesn't seem worth it to buy a new one. SO why did I buy my PSP and my NDS both soon after the launched and then almost never play them? Don't ask...they were new and cool I guess.

I may get one later when games I want are only coming out on the online...and I then don't have space on my PSP, but for now I am fine with the one I have. It still looks cool.

After Gizmodo's review, I really cannot justify paying almost as much as for a PS3 for some joke of a device. If it weren't called a PSP, no one would even give it a second though. Wireless b and no background downloads on a wireless-only device in 2009? Excuse me? And what's that, a web browser navigated by buttons? And of course, there's that whole PSP-mini pricing fiasco, though that's just the PSP initiative in a broader sense.

I want to like the PSP, I really do. I want the GO to be something I can be excited about and go buy and enjoy, but I honestly do believe at this point that my iPhone is a more competent gaming device at this point, despite only having maybe a couple dozen good games and thousands of crap ones. Hell, there are decent dual analog shooters on iPhone, and it doesn't even have buttons, let alone analog sticks, and yet the PSP still sits there with one nub, and now also the insulting should-be-another-stick start/select array.

Okay, rant done. This thing just pisses me off. What happened to you, Sony?

White electronics get dirty faster but aside from that it looks cool.

I have to make myself wait with purchases like this.  Between new-gadget-lust and the nonstop media blitz around it, earlier this year I was very close to buying a DSi.  I held out and I'm happy now I didn't cave and waste $170 on another DS I'd barely use.
 
The PSPgo is undeniably sexier than the 3000.  I really like the idea of having all my games digitally stored on the system so I don't have to lug physical media around.  It looks more ergonomic than the 3000, and fits better in a jeans pocket.  I also really like the Sixaxis support.  The $250 price tag and no ability to get digital copies of the UMD games I already own is killing me though.
 
For example, I just picked up Persona for my old PSP 1000.  On Amazon with my ECA discount, I paid like $33 for the game.  It came in a special box that included a full 2-disc soundtrack in its own jewelcase.  To play the game on a PSPgo, I'd have to buy the game again, this time for $40, and that copy would not include anything extra.

Vinny knows what's up. The more cables the better.

Sony artificially up the price on all their stuffs (to a point that doesn't make sense) so they all look very classy and premium, but in the end it's just going to hurt them.  PSP is such an old tech it doesn't cost half of what they charge to produce.

I dunno man...still seems pretty sketchy.  I still don't really get the point.

I'd go for the iphone more so than the PSP GO

i played with one at PAX. it was neat, but absolutely not worth $250.

Despite all the backlash this things been getting I still want one.  Of course not until it gets a price cut and has a few more releases.  Its probably different for me compared to most people, I still own an original 1000 model with a crappy 32mb stick and only 7 games so I have alot more to look forward to upon upgrading.
