The first Monkey Ball was one of my favorite games on the Gamecube. Such a simple concept, yet so brilliant.

Yay, what a great idea to make a Balance Board controlled Super Money Ball game with. But, still, nothing beats the first one.

looks ok if they get the controls right, but i think monkey ball reached its prime around mb2 on gamecube, and its been a slow downhill since then.

the first two monkey ball games were actually my 2nd and 3rd favorite games for the gamecube, only barely beaten by metroid prime. it is a really simple concept that just turns out to be incredible fun.

Personally I thought that teaser trailer was rather neat.

For real for real. Banana Blitz was pretty much garbage, and this looks like a direct sequel to that but with an even jankier control method.

I really need someone to sit me down and explain to me why there isn't an XBLA/PSN version of Super Monkey Ball out there. It seems like the type of thing that should have happened like 2 years ago. The SMB series is the perfect pick-up-and-play, arcadey, score-based, actiony gameplay, and I would hella buy level packs as DLC too.

I guess what I'm asking is, why does Sega hate money? Super Monkey Ball DX is still fucking awesome.
