@Charlee_CoCo: Then how come this guy above looks like CJ

Posted by Zamir

@stoodspoon: that's racist, yo, you must think all black people look the same, loi

Posted by zwitterion117

Does anyone know the name of that song?

Posted by stoodspoon

@Zamir: No I am not racist. I am just saying its kind of weird that these two characters who look like Claude and CJ are appearing in Los Santos. And perhaps Claude and CJ are going to be main characters in GTA5.

Already fallen in love with the music.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH just cum

Posted by HerbieBug

What? Why? They could have done anything, any time period any city. They pick San Andreas again. :(

Posted by vinsanityv22

I'm surprised they bothered to give it a numeral. It looks to me like one of their "subtitle" entries, and not a "whole-numbered-sequel-worthy" type of game.

Posted by Firethorne

Why did they feel the need to put up the "FIVE" subtitle up over the V? Is Rockstar really into redundancy?

Posted by Lydian_Sel

This totally doesn't look like every other GTA game ever.

What thought was that the song was a cover of "(Keep feeling) Fascination" by the Human League, a song that was on the GTA: Vice City soundtrack, providing more evidence that the protagonist is Tommy Vercetti, but upon further research the song is "Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake" by The Small Faces. I thought that the Human League bore some influence from the song but they are unrelated. So, the theories begin...

whatever naysayers - gta = awesome. always had always will. looking forward to this...

San Andreas? In high definition? HELL. YES.

It's been so long with so many good games that you forget why Rock Star is such a successful company, cause this looks awesome! I really want to see if they have the L.A. Noire facial animations, although it's not a deal breaker.

I highly doubt Rockstar will use L.A. Noire's facial animation system for GTA V. Think of how many repeat citizens you'd have roaming the streets, because creating a unique face & animation for each pedestrian would take forever. Either that or you'd see repeating people everywhere, which would be going backwards from GTA IV's randomly generated pedestrian system. Also, if they just use that facial animation for the main characters and no one else, they'd stand out too much from the rest of the character models in the game. GTA IV was no slouch in the facial animation department to being with, especially for main characters in cutscenes. I do hope they use the modified RAGE engine from LA Noire for GTA V. It was sooo much better looking than the previous version of RAGE used for GTA IV.

They could just implement the facial system of L.A. Noire for the cutscenes.

They seem to have got a pretty good cut at what the SoCal valley looks like, coming from someone that has to work in it every day.

As for gameplay and tone and plot and all that, I have to say I was one of those who never really could get into 4... Didn't find it all that well written and certainly didn't care for the characters. I thought in 4 they tried to hit a weird middle ground of satirical and dramatic that didn't quite reach me, so I hope they take a slightly different tack with 5.

i look forward to the Houser brothers social commentary on the 1% if that is indeed where this is all going.  GTA IV had some good deep stuff on what its like to try and change your ways, being a gangster, and the 1 way street that has become the American dream.

Looks quality, but would like some new gameplay innovations – not sure what, but that's why I'm not a developer :)

Looks great! Also, fucking fantastic music as always.

It's time for us to return to San Andreas, baby!

GTA 4, plain and simple ,was not fun. I think this series' time has gone.

Ugh, disagree. One of the best games this generation, blew me away when I played it, especially the story.

LA is a natural fit for an open sandbox setting. All that smog is perfect for hiding the pathetic draw distance on those struggling consoles trying to run newer software.

The L.A. Noire producer started up the company that does that facial capture tech, and that company is still owed 130,000 dollars or something. I doubt Rockstar is going to pursue that technology.

Saints Row 3 looks so awesome! Can't wait for it to come out!

Say what you will about the games themselves (I love them), but there's no denying that Rockstar knows how to make your mouth water with their trailers. Looks really good!

Could you be just a little bit more racist please?
It's a dude wearing a tank top and jeans. Is that really a unique or specific look to you?
Also FYI I'm just telling you what Rockstar said. If GTA5 is truely set in the GTA3 universe then it means Rockstar is going back on what they said about GTA4.

Both Claude and CJ had/have super generic looks though. It's not like spotting Kratos or Master Chief.
