The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
And it seems that the good casual games might win . . .
I never played the first one but i heard many good things, perhaps i'll get this if i have enough money left after i get the bunch of awesome games coming out this first half of the year.
"Win? That's one casual game out of two hundred shovelware casual games."It proves that a casual game that they put time and money into sold enough to warrant a sequel, rather than making a low-budget game that sold enough to warrant another really low budget game.
"HandsomeDead said:What about it?"There's no such thing as casual games."What about Scrabble?"
"Awesome, I absolutely love the original Boom Blox."The new one seems to make all the old ones issues disappear, of which there were few to start. Getting the same creation tools that EA used is incredibly exciting to me.
"The amazing lineup the Wii is going to have the first half of 2009? Yeah, we'll see..."
Quality over quantity, dude. Always. Just because the Wii is getting a lot of games, it doesn't mean much. It's become a dumping ground for the worst of the worst. Madworld, The Conduit... they could be good, but I'll wait until the games are released and getting excellent reviews before I get my hopes up. Judging from reviews, it seems most of the hyped non-Nintendo games on Wii end up not meeting expectations.
If you want to wait for reviews, doesn't it make sense that the system with the most games coming to it have the best potential for quality games, simply because some of them have to be good?
"If you want to wait for reviews, doesn't it make sense that the system with the most games coming to it have the best potential for quality games, simply because some of them have to be good?"Considering the Wii's track record, uhh... no.
"never mind this post "What are you trying to say?

I have no idea why I had ignored Boom Blox until now. Infact, I've ignored quite a few good Wii third party titles, and now I need to get caught up (stuff like Blast Works, Shaun White, and others).
