    Wii

    Platform »

The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.

And it seems that the good casual games might win . . .

You have a point? It's still an anticipated game any way you slice it.

Besides, 2009 is going to be a great year for all consoles.

It proves that a casual game that they put time and money into sold enough to warrant a sequel, rather than making a low-budget game that sold enough to warrant another really low budget game.

The amazing lineup the Wii is going to have the first half of 2009? Yeah, we'll see...

The new one seems to make all the old ones issues disappear, of which there were few to start. Getting the same creation tools that EA used is incredibly exciting to me.
If they can fix the slowdown, this game will be a terrific counterpart to The Conduit and MadWorld, which will be released near it.

Yep. Considering the massive amounts of games announced for Wii in 09 are all pretty much in the first half excluding the TMNT game, it will be amazing. Much better than the other consoles, at least, it only because of sheer quantity

Quality over quantity, dude. Always. Just because the Wii is getting a lot of games, it doesn't mean much. It's become a dumping ground for the worst of the worst. Madworld, The Conduit... they could be good, but I'll wait until the games are released and getting excellent reviews before I get my hopes up. Judging from reviews, it seems most of the hyped non-Nintendo games on Wii end up not meeting expectations.

If you want to wait for reviews, doesn't it make sense that the system with the most games coming to it have the best potential for quality games, simply because some of them have to be good?

Considering the Wii's track record, uhh... no.

Whatever, I can't argue the same points over and over. The fact is that a lot of the teams that have made great games for the Xbox and PS3 are now making games for Wii, and that means something.

I have no idea why I had ignored Boom Blox until now. Infact, I've ignored quite a few good Wii third party titles, and now I need to get caught up (stuff like Blast Works, Shaun White, and others).

Seems interesting. Haven't played the first one, though.
